So, before the Update i used 1.023.
and here ist my AIN Config

# Master/Timefader
AIN enable_mask=110000

Ok, so with AIN i mean the 8 Analog Ports on the Core. I dont have connected the unused Pins to Ground but they are disabled by the AIN Mask in the NGC File. From the Manual i have configured everything right for the AIN Ports. before the update i didnt had any issues with the AINs so i assume that it isnt a hardware bug.
maybe there is something broken on the core because i cant get the core to querry properly as it did before the update. I Will try on. Shame this happens now got a important gig on weekend. but this is how it goes,.

Does it mean that the previous observation was wrong, and that disconnecting the MBHP_MF_NG module makes a change?
No when i have the "fc" issue and then unplugg the MF_NG Modules it doenst make a change. Also when i start the core without the MF_NG Modules and the connect them there ist no "fc" issue. Just when i start the core together with the MF_NG Modules i get the issue. (Sorry observation is a bit confusing...need to calm down and do it step by step and dont rush forward)

Ok, so i use the latest version of MIOS Studio. I have selected the first Midi In and the first Midi Out as usual.
The analog inputs dont send random midi events as if they are not connected. When i move the fader up i ge a midi note with velocity 2 or 1 or 3 (just one) and when i move it down i get a note off.
What do you say about the fc issue?

ok when i start the Core with the MF_NG Modules Connected it falls into the "fc" loop. So i guess that is the issue...
And the command send by you stops the "fc" loop
But i still cannot querry the core ...

Well now i dont get any "fc" send anymore (switched to 1.030 again) ... but now theres nothing coming from the core anymore on the midi input side of mios studio...
ok well it doesnt detect the core anymore but when i press a button this is send out by the core. And when i acces the files on the sd card this also works fine. Everything is a bit confusing...
The AINs are still not working properly. Is there a IC on the core that could be broken?

I think it is send withot any delay (or as fast as mios studio can display it). With the older version ive got the problem that my AINs on my core dont work anymore. But it also can be it has damaged something on the core for whatever reason... I got a broken fuse in my powersupply circuit so maybe there is an ic down or something similar. :/ the rest is working ok now. (with 1.015)
the feedback theorie is a good point but there ist no other mididevice hooked up to the pc and the core. I unplugged the MF_NG Modules which doesnt made any cahnges.
Would it be possible to get a previous version ? before 1.030

ok, so a few minutes ago i ran the whole setup with an earlyer version of midibox ng without a problem except the motorfaderproblem i decribed in another thread. Than i decided to do the update to the latest version. I loaded the hex file into MIOS Studio and uploaded it to the core. the core restarts the core is detected as usbaudiogerät 1-4 and suddenly i got just an "fc" on all ports (usbaudiogerät 1-4) continuosly ... after a few minutes mios studio crashes. (The USB Audiogerät thingy is normal it cant be the issue)
I got back into bootploader hold mode now tried to upload it again -> same problem
.ngc configuration cannot be the problem i assume.
The MIOS Studio doesnt detect the core anymore as i try to run in with midibox_NG (querry Window) it do detect the bootloader.
Setup is a normal Module chain. But i guess the problem is much earlier in the setup at the core... unplugging the chain or the mf_NG Modules (MIDI PORT 2 I/O) doenst help.

Ok, i digged out an old Version of NG (1.015) uploaded it... now i can acces the core again but my directly to the core connected Faders are sending out random events. cannot tell were that comes from now... it worked fine before. Will keep on troubleshooting.

Well i updated due to the issues i have with my motorfaders. I loaded the project.hex into mios studio and transfered it. But as the midibox restarts it doenst detect it anymore and i just recieve "fc" at port 1.
What is wrong? I have manually repowered the core that doesnt help. Would be glad if you can give me an advise how to fix it.

Hey guys, its me again. Sine function is working properly. So if you could help me with the forwarding setup i would really apreciate that...
When i have this config how do i need to configure the single modules?
LP17Core OUT -> MF_NG 1 IN/ MF_NG 1 OUT -> MF_NG 2 IN/ MF_NG 2 OUT -> LP17Core IN
all connections are made of PSK Contacts and 3 Wire unshielded Cables.

Sneak and Peak Preview of the remade Profil Housing! I'm very proud to anounce that the Project has come to an end so far... Just some Software fixes are made and than i will get a big flightcase to carry it arround to my gigs! Hugh Thanks to all of you who supported me. Especially Christian who though me almost everything about Midibox etc. Hope that we will see his Lighting desk run soon too :smile:.

Isnt the config just for the motors? I think it is more a general problem or a transmission problem between MF_NG and Midibox_ NG.

Hey Guys, havent been here for a while now. Projekt runs Great will Update this in the next weeks i promise. I am just struggeling with the Motorfaders ATM. Turns out it is a Problem for the Midibox to accept Movements of 2 Faders at the same time.
First my Conifguration of MF_NG Modules: Ive got two of them in a chain which are connected to an lp17 core which runs Midibox_NG and outputs the Midinotes to an PC Over USB.
My Problem is when i move 2 or more faders the output monitored on the pc inst correct... it loses Steps. Fader (Physicaly) is at 100% but the outputted value is anywhere between 0-127 how can that be?
Any Sugestions are welcome.

Hello Everybody,
its coming to an End. In total that means the midibox is working like it should... some Errors i cant get fixed because they are Hardware Issues with Faders but i will fix them as soon as i will do the Final finish on my lighting Desk! Thanks again to TK for the help.
At Saturday i will have the first "Big" Gig with it. For Backupreasons there will be a professional Lighting desk next to mine which will take over control as soon as something strange happens with my MA4PC. But i wanted to take it to the test.

OK, Finaly ! I took me about 8 hours but my MF_NG Modules are working properly!
Now i have one Last Issue to fix and than it seems like my Midibox is working as it should ! But i will do some extension such as Banks and stuff. (BTW: Can i configure Banks for the MF_EVENTs? )
Thorsten if you can help me with my last Issue i would be really happy! I Have 2 Faders Connected directly to my LP_17 Core. The NG Configuration is clear for me that should work. The Problem is: when i plug in my Faders to J5A (as i should for Pot A0 and A1) the Core Dies! And i mean really Dies. It switches of until i unplugg the Faders and than it boots up again. At First i thought it might be a Cabling mistake but i've checked it and it seems to be fine...
If you have an Idea what gos wrong here let me know.

My Modules are configured:
LP17 = ID 0
MF_NG 1 = ID 1
MF_NG 2 = ID 2
so i could use them all over USB port 1 i guess...
tried your you corrections but it isnt working properly. I Think i will Contact Chris maybe he can give me some support as he is more experienced in Electronics than me. Thanks for your Input If you haven any further Ideas what i could check let me know.

Ok, ive managed to get the MF_NG Modules speaking with the Core and MIOS Studio. Now there is only the Configuration in the Midibox_NG left. i've attached the .NGC File so if you could take a quick look what might be wrong i would really apreciate it. Thanks TK for support. Best regards Alexander

Hello Thorsten, as i have no other Midihardware hee i couldnt check the Windows settings but i have made some progress i think the problem is more on the side of the MF_NG Modules than on Side of the Core. When i connect one MF_NG Modul direktly to IN1/OUT1 and route it to USB2 it is recognized by the Core, but when i try to recieve the Current state from it with the MF_NG Tool it gives me an Error.
So i guess Core is doing fine so the Faulty Part should be the MF_NG Modules or the Cables ...

Well i guess im working under windows with just the gm5 driver, but ive not enabled anything with usb... just updated today to the last version of NG
EDIT: Ok i powered it up again and now i have 4 gm5 ports (guess it needed a restart) i tried your settings but it didnt work (used gm5 port 3 instead of USB3, but configured it as USB3 in the Router settings). :(

I'm theoreticly able to control it but then i will integrte an general software dimmer function in my selfwritten Application running on my PC. So i can adjust the brightnes On the fly :)

ok my Project comes to an end! :rofl: That means i will technicly finish it in the next weeks. But im struggeling with some of the Midibox NG Configuration to get it all running!
First of all i tried to use the dimmed Command to bring down the brightness Level of my Blue LEDs but that doesnt seem to work for me. When the LEDs are triggered from an external Midi Note over USB they light up with there standart brightness. So Do i really have to rip all my DOUTs apart and replace the resistors? Maybe someone can tell me what i'm doing wrong with this comand. Example will do i guess...
The Next Question would be the Midirouter. I tried to get my connected MF_NG Moduls to speak with the MIOS Studio but i didn't got that to work either... so what i basicly did i followed the User MAnual. But i'm not sure what i should use? the Midirouter or the MF_NG Configs... tried both of them and i cant get it to run. Maybe someone can explain what i need to set them to.
Would be great if you can help me :)

Hey Bibi, Sorry that i Reply that late! Many Things to do over here.
So to answer ome of you Questions:
For all Questions about the Software i can not say anything about that because its Chris' on. And also i dont ha vry much Knowledge about this. My Projekt is Designed to work without a Driver at first and when i have the Time/Motivation for building a driver maybe with it. i interated the LEDs for Later Updates.
Two Screens: no there ist no possebility at the moment. I dont Think that your Solution will work because 2 Consoles/PCs in the same Session will not share one programmer so u cant realy use the second screen for Presets and stuff. For the Fader Labeling it would be a possebility.
There are Button Caps for Labeling aviable at Bürklin. Just search for them.

TK! Your simply the best. Faders are now working as they should! No Workarround is needed with this version. The only thing that still keeps me thinking is why the core do not querry? i can acces the files with the file browser...and notes are recived as usual.
Well for the Moment i am more than happy. Even the Motorfader Problem seems to be solved. Need to test that out more but im confident.
