Sorry to heat this up more than a year later
I don't know and do not care about MM's internal politics and marketing,
and there are some people in the e-m scene that .. out of a lack of solderingskills love to buy finished stuff you normaly only get as DIY (instead of buying other projects from Korg or Roland or DSI or ... ) buuuuuuuuut ....
- A SID like Wilba's
- A Synthlab like from Dirk Lindhof
- A Wasp in a suitecase with Midi .... like the Pixie from Elby ?????
Well I would reconcider my marketing strategy ...
@InspektorGadjet ... your Midi-converter .. looks good and teensy plus hackable .. thumbs-up .. thats the spirit ;)

Listen to Latigit on ..
if you want to add a new core .. the STM4F32 is the newest one .. so go for this one ...
there are some updates announced for a Version V4 Plus that might not run on the LPC17 because of lack of RAM ..
-
This looks cool .... if this is tested and you do a PCB run I'm in ...
-
Hi Macotronic ....
if I did understand it well no additional wiring is needed, only chsngement of 2-3 values in the hwconfig file.
I got mine fromvoti.nl, but Peter has some Links to some Alps in his tutorial ..

Great , thanks Peter

I got the rotary encoder with pushbutton from voti.nl ... http://www.voti.nl/winkel/catalog.html?SW-ROT-02 for the wilbapanel.
Is the push button function usefull?? Or does the current design only support the encoder part.
If yes, how can I assign something to them??
Thanks in advance

Why should the 4x16 BLM not be supported??
It should work just fine with the right lines in the mbseq_hw.v4
Have a look at the bottom of http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=16x4blm_pcb
There is a zipped config for v4 ...

Factor to resize in Inkscape is 125% ....
Original is 72 dpi, Inkscape makes 90 dpi like mongrol said .. now all seems to fit ... next week ordering the case

First of all ... wonderfull work pawaga,
Attention, I just tried to open the svg in inkscape and the size is not correct .. (about 18% smaller)

To post the debugging here too from the german topic ...
I used the MIOS Terminal to route a midikeyboard from IN1 of the first Midi IO board to OUT4 on the second Midi IO board with
set router 1 IN1 all OUT4 allIt worked just fine ...

So, grad mal probiert ...
"set router 1 IN1 all IIC4 all"

I used the latest microchip software for the Pickit2 .. and it seemed to work at 3 volt .. all LEDs blink once 3-4 seconds after I power up the core

Hi guys,
I am building my first seq v4 with the STM32F4 .. all boards from SmashTV.
After soldering the core I added 2 Midi IO boards to J11E, uploaded the wilba hwconfig file and all worked perfect.
3-4 seconds after startup all LEDs on the Midi IOs blink one time.
Now I added the line driver transmitter and a Quad IIC .. but sudddenly on startup only one or more LEDs of the Midi IO blink with no delay.
I detached all elements from the core, only leaving the Midi IOs connected .. same .. short blink directly after power is switched on ..sometimes all, sometimes only one (last in line) sometimes 3 or 4 ...
Switched the 2 Midi IO boards so that the second in line becomes first .... same
If I connect a midikeyboard to the boards, the proper LED reacts perfectly ... but on Midi IN AND on Midi OUTS.
The wilba panel is not yet finished, so I have no chance to check the menue for the midiports or send something.
Do I have a short somewhere?? And why did it work multiple times before?
Where should I start debugging .. is it the core?? Or maybe the STM32F4 itself??
Heeeeeeeelp

Hallo Jungs,

I got my Pickit 2 today and it does scan the PIC as 16f88.
But when I try to write at 5 Volt VDD I only get Errors.
It works at 4 volt and 3 volt ... is that o.k.ish too ??
For the Note, .. I never ever used a PIC Programmer befor .. :)
-
Just ordered a Wingoneer Pickit 2, hope this works too
-
Same problrm here now .. Quad IIC done ... PICs from reichelt ... unprogrammed ...
Wich little programmer should I buy and where do I find the code??
-
Great work .. Chapeau
-
Keep in mind that if you use Acryl that has some transparancy, you do not need to cut all LEDs, simply place them under the acryl, zhey will blink through, saves a lot of money ;)

I just PMed him ;)

Hi jzurd0,
If you find one, let me know, cause I search too.
If not, and this is not superurgent,
I will build my wilba this year with round buttons like this ...
I will design a Frontpanel in inkscape and share it here ...

Is that group still active?? I searched facebook for midibox but could not find that group ....

[SOLVED] Seq v4 firmware update issue Mios32 - Linux Mint
in MIDIbox Tools & MIOS Studio
Posted · Edited by Alasdair Moon
Hi all,
I tried to update my midibox today from 4.090 to 4.092 on STM32F4-Discovery
I connected the micro usb and started the mios32 under my Linux Mint. (I have a 5v power-supply connected)
USB Ports of my midibox seq are scanned and loaded ...
QUERY gives the correct values
Filebrowser can access SD-card
If I send infos from my midibox to mios32 all works perfect
When I tried to upload the new hex-file I get the ERROR .... FILE DOES NOT EXIST and that's it ... the "start" Button of MIOS32 stays grey
What could it be?
Only weird thing I see in the Infopage is the CPU-load that says 234%
Greetings, Sascha
