So,
how do I figure out how much power will be consumed by a midibox? I think I understand simple consumption like LED's, switches and pots, but, how do you figure out how much power will be consumed by motorfaders?
I was under the impression that 1000 mA was the absolute highest that should run through the core, but...
???
I consciously got motorfaders that were 5v to keep that much consistent.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. ;)

can LC-emu handle:
joysticks for surround panning? one per channel?
multiple rotary encoders per channel?
any other surprises?
-
Is there a way to use 4-bit rotary encoders? Or to change their functionality by not using some pins, so that they act as 2-bit encoders?
Any other encoder insight would be appreciated.
-
Under NG, will it be possible to mix and match encoders and switches (or LED's and LED rings) on a single core?
ex. 32 encoders and 64 switches

I found some at www.allelectronics.com
Top is square, and LED color/brightness is unknown to me.
Enter "PB-125" at their search prompt to check it out.

Can anyone elaborate on implementing motorfaders. Â
I am specifically interested in the Panasonic # EVANMKP08B14, that some of you (like me) may have picked up from Allelectronics. Â I grabbed these because they work on a 5v supply. Â I was just interested in anyones opinion regarding these pots. Â reviews, shortcomings, whatnots.
Anyone else's experience with any motorpots would be appreciated.

Once again, thank you.

I hope this makes sense, please bear with me.
At the stage of redesigning my project due to NG anticipation euphoria.
From the MF core, how many LEDs, Switches, can I use? Must I use?
MORE INFO:
Assuming a MegaMidiBox design with some version of a Midibox NG linked to 16 motorfaders. I understand that the NG can handle 128 In/Out/Analog, but I am confused by a Multi-core system. One core for the NG, and 2 cores for the 16 motorfaders... What will the minimum/maximum things to solder from each MF core be?

That's a great point. Besides, there's no point repeating what's on the monitor anyway.

Has anyone had any success with LED bargraph displays? Might look good to have bargraphs showing sound signal levels.
I'm sure it is very similar to implementing LED rings. Â Where are the pages that show how to implement LED rings?
Thanks.

Thanks a lot!

I have a stupid question about parts. Should I get 1/2 watt or 1/4 watt resistors for the mbhp projects?
Motorfaders?

Has anyone tried to modify their motorfaders to make them more responsive, or to add/adjust touch sensitivity?
