mad idea ! 8)

all the not working areas are just empty, currently i just got no time and motivation to fill them . the sun is shining in hamburg and mostly im out with friends... also there is still a little problem on the midi interface to fix - because of this i dont want to release it . the sequencer pcs will be released as soon as i find my acrobat cd .... and the psu board is just in process. the pcb section was planned to sell some pcbs for the 808 clone and maby others, but currently i have no time to make pcbs here at home. and until now there were not so many interests for ordering from a pcb service ... i dont know about the future of this section for the partlist - all lists i have are on the site . if someone made a list, they are welcome ! and finally the music and samples sections : due to the lack of webspace - the site is hosted by funpic.de (max filesize = 1mb) the sections are empty too. i have no money to pay for webspace or better im not willing to pay for it. :P but maby this problem is gone soon. if someone has already build some of the stuff please let me know if it works and if you had any problems ! its summertime ! go outside, enjoy sunshine and beer (or others ;) ) !! no need to drink but ... ;D hallucinogen

oh, yes - i forgot to finish the download section ::) i just added a price calculation : for the minimal hardware inc. psu and if u make your own pcbs : ca. 130 € + midi interface, case, cables etc. hallucinogen

hi, im currently on building a Tr-808 from the original schematics with many mods ... and a midibox SEQ ... im using a aout with midibox CV for accents and a dout with midio (and a trick from TK that the outs are giving a ~1ms pulse) for triggering the instruments and it works very good ! ;D but i wasn´t able to do things like CV control or digipots .... when everything is working i will share the pcbs and stuff... if u cant wait drop me a PM ... hallucinogen

@ titan: sehr gut :D ich muss nur noch ein paar teile wechseln da mein eagle einwenig kaputt ist und ich mir eigen libraries gemacht hab ... ich schick dir das file dann per e-mail ! wenn du lust hast kannst du es ja velleicht auch noch ein bisschen kleiner machen . danke hallucinogen

Falls ja, wie kann ich messen ob sie zusammenpassende Werte haben? nee hab nicht selektiert - ich weiß ehrlich gesagt auch nicht so ganz wie mann das macht ;D das läuft aber auch so echt gut ! hab jetzt schon 2 am laufen ... ->Schlägst Du vor auch +/-12V zu verwenden oder würde deine modifizierte Schaltung ebenso gut mit +/-15V laufen? mit dem netzteil würd ich eigendlich +/- 15V nehmen wenn du eins hast (oder baust). ich hab nur +/-12V genommen da ich noch ein commodore netzteil da hatte mit +12/-12/+5V , und bissher nicht dazu gekommen bin ein neues zu bauen. zum bestelln schreib ich dir noch ne PM ! gruss hallucinogen

moin moin , erstmal wieder lob an TK !!!, dafür das das aout im sid schon so super läuft ;D die ausgabe der env. und lfos sind ja echt astrein !! und so schnelle env. kurven ... :D ich bin gerade dabei ein eagle board für den moog filter zu machen - is aber recht groß und imo noch im raster 2,54mm (für rasterplatine ;) ) -velleicht hat ja jemand lust das nochmal zu checken ?? ( und velleicht zu optimieren - bin noch ein eagle neuling ;) zum aufbau: im original hat der vcf eine temperatur-regelung und transistor-arrays mit gleichen (selektierten) npn-transistoren - auf die temp-reglung hab ich verzichtet und das ganze mit BC550C transistoren gebaut - und es funkt prima ! dann läuft das original mit +/- 15 V und meiner mit +/- 12V - scheint aber recht egal zu sein, ist wohl nur ein bisschen leiser. und dann wäre da noch der "TK" overdrive : ich denk mal du (thorsten) hast den wiederstand (R42-39k) nach dem eingangs-poti verkleinert ?! bei mir gehts so auf jedenfall: hab ihn durch ein 47k poti ersetzt, damit kann man die lautstärtke mit der der filter gefüttert wird bis zur totalen verzerrung aufreißen ! ansonsten ist alles wie im schema von Rick Jansen dann kam mir der gedanke, die resonanz auch per CV steuerbar zu machen ::) und zwar werd ich versuchen einen zweiten difference-amp mit nem ca3080 OTA zu realisieren... wäre echt sehr cool wenn man die filter settings gleich im sid mitspeichern könnte ;D - und für reso gibst ja auch ne CV ... also bei interesse einfach bei mir melden ! gruss hallucinogen

ich meinte das wenn er: midi note c2 mit vel 40 empfängt (vom keyboard oder seq), pin 1 anstellt wird - bei vel 60 pin 2 / vel 100 pin 3 / vel 127 pin 4 / note c#2 vel 20 pin 5 usw. . .. also keine "schwankenden sachen", nur eine spalte mehr zum konfigurien der midi in events mit vel auf die dout pins in der "midio-presets.inc" ich hab mir nähmlich einen "mini-stufen-DAC" aus nem dout gebaut, um meine drums mit "accent" zu triggern - verschiedene wiederstände und ein paar dioden ;D nur ist jetzt das set auf 4 mal soviel tasten gelegt und unpraktisch in der handhabung ... - deshalb wäre vel (midi) in für den midio echt super ;D aber nur wenns nicht zu kompliziert wird ... ::) hallucinogen

moin wie schwer wäre es den midio "umzucoden", so das er auch auf vel reagiert ? ich würde gerne zb. auf note c2 vel 100->pin 1, note c2  vel 80->pin2, vel 60->pin3 ... haben. odere besser noch einen bereich von zb. 60-79 ... danke schoma !! hallucinogen

bei zwei lcds musst du alle pins bis auf den ENABLE (E) pin zusammen ans core wie beim http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_lcd.pdf anschließen. den enable vom ersten, wie bei nur einem, an (J15) und den vom zweiten dann an J10 pin RC , ->korrigiert mich falls nötig ! gruss hallucinogen

hallo ! ich benutze den midio um ein analog drummodul zu triggern ... die frage ist jetzt : kann man den midio so einstellen das er bei jeder empfangenen note nur einen ganz kurzen impuls ausgiebt ?? so ~1ms wäre gut denn sonst startet der eigentliche drum sound erst am note off :-/ und so kurze midi noten sind nicht immer möglich -> midibox seq min 2-3ms bei normalem tempo kann wer helfen ?? hallucinogen

hallo ! ich hab nochmal einen haufen lcds günstig bekommen ! und zwar: data image CM4020 S1LYC5-J3 2x40 zeichen KS0066 controller - hd 44780 kompatibel mit led backlight in gelb/grün falls jemand interresiert ist: 1 st. - 7,5 euro + porto ab 5 st. - 6 euro + porto einfach ne pm an mich ! gruss hallucinogen

at time they aren´t fixed ! so dont it turn around !! --ones i did ... :P two ways to fix : first is to drill a hole (~3,1mm) centered at the bottom of the acryl piece - so u can plug it on the microbuttons shaft. but centering is hard work without the right tools ... i did it on my dual lc - ~140 buttons --> really hard work !! -->pics soon !! second is to simply glue them with "second glue" (sounds weard, is it the correct word?)

hi ! thanks for your reply !! it was a bit tricky to get all modules in the case ! i had to build the core on an a vectorboard to get smaller size. all the other stuff fits on one big vectorboard with dinx/doutx/microbuttons/encoders... i will post some pics of the "inner life" next time i get a digicam ! the buttons are handmade of acryl ! similar to the ones of axel ! -> a very cool idea !! i´ve got some long round stick in 10mm diameter and cut it in peices of ~12mm lengh. then i did a "phase" to the top side (hope this is right, my englisch... ::)) from sideview:  ____ /     \ |      | |      | this fits nice on a microbutton - the ones that are used in tk´s sid.. put a led under the acryl button, and you got some very good looking and very good feeling illuminated buttons  ;D and they are cheap ! greetings hallucinogen ps: in germany u can get acryl from rs-components !!

thats right ! :-X just thought it would be cheaper than 2 track motorfaders at ~50 $ ;) seems that u have to spend some money for quality faders...

or you could use the normal 1 track faders with a midibox. and control a vca for the volume control with the voltage ouput of the fader - i think i saw something like that around here !
