hello i found an exelent program for designing PCBs. it is damn pro. it consists of 3 parts. schematic desiger, PCB design and router. it is a demo but i SO liked it that i bought it!!! Absoluet recomend if doing PCBs at home or sending to factories. it is a little hard to understand but after 1 eavning i got fammiliar with it. dont forget to look at the "Quick start tutorial" dead important. http://www.winqcad.com/qcaddemo.exe it's called Qcad Thank you please

i dont know if i can help u but the good idea is to go around local schools and ask if they can help you with conctruction if you have'nt done it allready. ultimatly you can visit www.rapidelectronics.co.uk i've founded it VERY CHEAP. tip. if u r putting audio signal through the pots(as well as didital) do not make them cheep. the PIC will compensate any distortion in didital signal after they are weared away but audio signal will be dissapointing

hi thankx for your reply regrding duraka, u know on your design, how much info do u want to be displayed eg: name: value menu assign count the letters and spaces,(in this case 16x2) there are dot matrix displays (which do not have letter blocks) and they are good for graphics, they are usualy expencive. but u can draw on letter blocks as well. i cannot count number of characters because it is not turned on (you might find if you press on calculator when it is on you can see the blocks but is it's off, then i guess not) but i'm shure it is __x2 coz i've seen it working and i can tell you the number of pins it has: 16 but only 14 were in use. on the chip seyed: vhc16100 nrb 99-16w jh-99016 and around it was: PM1610-4 PO24 REV:A

hi there, my name is yarek, i'm from russia (southwest) currently i live in west yorkshire good news, i'm making a midibox too. (midbox64) i'm making the case in school so it is simpler. i am in school myself (age 15) I got a problem regarding LCD module i have ripped it out from an old printer/fax and it is in good condition :-) i think it is a 2x16 but i'm not shure and i dont know which type it is. can someone help me with finding it's type? PS. sorry for my (ununderstandeble) writing, this is my first forum
