  1. hi there is a web site. its self-explanatory. http://www.4qdtec.com/stpen.html another H-bridge could drive the stepper. i think this can be researched into a great controll surface, especialy cheep. i've found a 5 1/4" teac floppy drive in my garage (which has a great stepper motor in it) and i'm shure that if you visit some carboot sales, you can get them pretty cheep. regards yarek T.
  2. hi why bankstick uses com port instead of just, i dont know, and XLR? does this mean that it can connect into a PC? what kind of software to use to program it? thankyou yarek T.
  3. This topic has been moved to [link=http://www.midibox.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=parts_q;action=display;num=1087941273;start=0]Parts Questions[/link] by Thorsten Klose.
  4. hi everyone an idea struck me: instead of hooking up pots to the AIN module, put there jack sockets and plug it into and audio signal as a CV (Controll Voltage) then if you have a VCF (Voltage Controlled Filter) on your PC, it can be controlled by midibox's normal midi output. maybe expanding that idea would create something usefull. Tell me if i've been unclear. Yarek T.
  5. ...and dark, nightless conversion of endless calculations... (Now that poetry! 8) ) (tip put dots on the end so its easyer to continue!)
  6. Thanks for your reply Sorry that I was unclear before, yes chassis-mounted buttons that click or dent. just moments ago I put tactile sw on a matrix board and taped on it with pliers, on the first tap it was stuck and didn’t work properly! What a piece of… excuse me for this… crap !! I’ve found these nice sturdy buttons but they don’t click. Is there a name for buttons that feel like tacts but are sturdy and chassis-mounted ? Regards Fx3
  7. hi everyone i'm in progress of making a mb64. when i found that i dont like the miniature buttons i bought - I didnt know when they were pressed, they didnt have any click but otherwise nice buttonts. i'm looking for some sort of a switch that will click or dent when its pressed, also it HAS to be surface mounted because i just hate the idea of pushing on the flimsy PCBs :'( . another thing is that i live in UK and dont understand any german. do you have any answers, comments please? my highest appretiations. fx3_hdrive P.S. is push-to-break type ok? or it will mess up the signals?

  11. CNC-machine ? is that the thing that has i drill which goes by itself and drills holes were u direct it from PC? if thats it u can easily cut a hole or a strip by cutting around the shape lots of times and each time increase depth ? we at school have one of them and it seams to work (i didnt cut a fader hole on it but cuts everything else !!! takes a lot of water as a coolant and a bit of patience.
  12. hi everyone recently i had a problem, i cannot make PCBs so i decidid to use vector boards, so i ordered some from my supplier and they sent it to me and...guess what... it didnt have any pads on it !! it was a plain piece of plastic !!! (its called Matrix board) now i went into my schools holidays hoping to be finished by the end of the week but noooo.... the question is "Has anybody seen somewere a board which looks like this (http://www.jdm.homepage.dk/newpic81.jpg)" with round Cu pads ? now i know that Reichelt have them but i live in UK and my german is not good at all !! can someone pleezzz help me, i dont understand that site at all !! thankx P.S. and just hours later i found out that order outside the germany must be over 150 Euros !?!?!?

  19. thankx Thorsten part of my concern has dissapered but can i make an led that shows original value whilist i'm in the program (showing what the saved value is) or at least say that snap mode is on and the position is reached? thanx encoders...expencive...2.00 pounds x 40... no thank you!!
  20. hi does anyone noticed on synths (like Korg MS - 2000) there are led named original value. with midibox the problem is that when you work in a program and you got the values right and sound good, then you minimized it and opened a synth, sipn a few knobs and return to the original prog with your precious song, move just a little filter cutoff and the position jump and wrecks your song. (this is the pot you spun in the synth) can it be somehow avoided? put on an original value led so it shows how it was? thankyou. P.S. if someone did not understood my explanation please ask.
