    128 Analog inputs

of course, this helps. its time to start coding mios stuff i think. i have managed to never code any line of mios code until now :) but i think the time has come. i will try it. many posts will follow :) but i will build the hardware stuff first. thanks! -zeh
  2. Hi Forum, i was searching for about 2 hours now, i cant find the answer. i want to midify an old audiomixer, which has 128 analog, and 96 digital buttons/pots/faders is it possible to connect 128 analog inputs ? i dont understand that core slave stuff. is it possible to connect 2xAINX to one core, 2xAINX to another core, and then connect the 2 cores? if this will result in 2 different midi outputs, or is it one ? i read about the midibox NG, wich allows connection of 128 analog inputs, but i cant find it anywhere. is it dead ? thanks in advance -zeh
  3. thank you! its a huge metal case, a old mixer, i will midifiy it. it will give it a try. thanks -zeh
  4. Hi Forum, i have a question regarding the AIN module. is it possible to use 47K resistors instead of 10K ones? if yes, whats the difference in handling? i have to use them, because they are really great and i have a lot of them :( thanks for help -zeh
  5. great, thanks for the answers. if we make a community order, how much will the shipping cost ? is it possible to send it in a standard letter? (approx. 1.50 euros). if yes, i will participate. because paying 5.65euros to farnell, just for the shipping of one chip, is paradox. greets -zeh
  6. oh, sorry, you are right, i read that over ;-) so, i just buy 'some' 4620 and use the IIC workarround ? or should i wait, until some fix is out ? thanks zeh
  7. hi there, where can i buy the non-buggy version of the PIC18F4620 in germany? i cant find it in the reichelt shop, also conrad electronic doesn't have it. I also looked on mikes midishop, but it is also not listed there. which one is the one without the bug? because if i order one, i think its not very 'new' because its lying in there storage for some time... which one do i have to buy and where can i get it ? thanks guys.. -zeh
  8. of course, that was mios again :) some kind of typo, i tryed also the app :) thanks ;)
  9. its working now... i reburned the pic and reinstalled MIOS. i dont know what was wrong. thanks for your help! -zeh
  10. hi, thanks for the fast reply. i have a midibox seq v2 with a PIC18F452. i uploaded the bootloader 1.2 with my JDM burner via IC-PROG. after that, i uploaded mios 1.9c via midi with MIOS Studio. now: the box boots. i see a splash screen MIOS 1.9c, then ONE sysex request is sent. after that, the display says "READY." if i try to upload the 2.4c version of the mbseq application, nothing happens. like this: mios_v1_9c_pic18f452.hex Hex file contains code in MIOS range, forcing reboot! (reboot is not working, i have to reboot by hand...) Received Upload Request Sending block 00000400-000004FF ... now, nothing happens... ;( any suggestions ? thanks -zeh
  11. Hi there, iam having problems with the installation of the application: midibox_seq_v2_4c i updated the bootloader and mios (to 1.9c) on my PIC18F452 SEQ version 2. after the booting process, the display of the SEQv2 says 'READY'. If i try to install the application, nothing happens. if i reboot the midibox, the sysex request is received, after that the upload begins. but it does nothing. can somebody help me ? thanks in advance -zeh

  15. great !! cant wait to beta-test :-) thanks thorsten
  16. wow, that would be great. my asm skills are too bad to think about doing something like this myself for now. hope you get it and publish the code. thanks in advance man. great stuff. -zeh
  17. i really need this autosave pattern feature. like all the grooveboxes in softsynth programs. you alwas just have to select the pattern to edit, edit it, and then switch to the next one and edit it. there is no 'save pattern' button, its autosaved. so, since MIOS is able to write the bankstick, isnt it possible, to write the data to the bankstick, everytime a knob is turned. on every interupt? is this too bad for the perfomance? how long does a write take? or maybe, letz autosave every 5 seconds or so. i dont want to save everytime i changed the pattern. i think, there are people outside, which think this would be a good change in the software for the SEQ. i also think, its not too much work. my assembler skills are in the beginnings, so maybe someone who thinks this is cool, wants to help me implementing it, or, changing it in the software? thanks -zeh

  21. ok, the problem is solved, but, it WAS the power supply. strange. if i connect the 'maybe defective' PSU, it only works if my PCs midi IN is connected to the midiOUT of the core. if i connect a new PSU, it works, also if there is nothing connected to the midiOUT of the core. i dont know why this happens, i think it gets power from the PCs powersupply, over the +5V of the midiIN from the PC, dunno if this works. thanks a lot -zeh
  22. hi, very nice. i also figured the same out, the xypad act like 2 pots. isnt it possible, to do that 'save position' stuff via software ? maybe, it always saves the last value, then you touch the pad, the pot gets active, and sends a new resistance to change the value. best regards zeh
