  1. Sure is Lo-Fi. I assume you're the same Lo-fi_Masshkah from the electro-music forums? :) I should be getting all the parts I need for a MIDIBox SID over the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to put it all together. I just finished the Soundlab DIY analogue synth, and the sound is great. It's amazing how you can get such good quality equipment from DIY'ing. Just a quick question though, can I ask where you got your SID chip from? Did you just get an old C64 or something? I've seen the link to the place that sells 6581's for 25 euro's, but that seems a bit steep... you can get a second hand C64 for that much!
  2. Ok, I've found the wiring diagram - I missed the links under "hardware options". That answers all my questions. Sorry for the un-needed thread!
  3. Hi, I've been looking through this site for the past couple of days and I'm getting pretty excited about building a midibox SID. So far I've gathered that if I want to build the sid with the minimal control surface, I'd need: 1 x core module 1 x sid module 1 x din module 1 x backlit 2x20 LCD 6 x push buttons 1 x rotary encoder The only problem is I can't find any information on how to wire up the buttons and encoder to the din module, or if I really need a din module for this setup. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great :) Now I just have to finish off my Soundlab synth and I can get cracking on this one! :D
