I need a new switching power supply for my emu proteus... ???

I have 2 octave keybed (which i could build new case around with 2 pieces or metel 2 pieces of wood) I have midi jack from other keyboards but not from the original keyboard with key bed.. thats it,I just wire the keys to core then core to midi? seems to easy I got to do more reading.... noobn'

I plan to use 6581,I was unsure if the 12v 500ma i have now would be enough to power unit? so it should? It will fit nice it box.. Thanks just waiting on parts..

Power supply is not my biggest concern,I have many power supplys just not a 15v 500ma like I said I have a 12v 500ma (don't want voltage regulator to get hot(want it cool) Thanks Ya'll for you info & advice I live in canada And I have been searching pond shops for psu's (no luck on 15v 500ma)Want to find psu while I wait for my kits(box is fabricated) For my test setup i simply use a 5V/12V dual output switching power supply ? switchn power supply? do you use a regular computer switching power supply?

A Question About power supply? if someone could help I found a 12v dc 500ma power supply would it work for my application? Hello Every one, This is my build document,Where Plan to show my progess of my first Midibox build. Just a basic One chip Desktop module (Core,Sid,) I also bought a din kit (to start with as I will hopfully add on in future, & good for a little Sodder practice before my core and sid build up) Controls will include 2 x 20 lcd,6 buttons and a rotary encoder After reaching this goal I hope to rebuild with keys and realtime cuttoff,rez,a s d r,? osc (analog pots 10k ?)By addjusting MIOS(but I'll start simple cause I'm far off now) So Far I have ordered kits,core,sid,din and 2 x 20 lcd and a bankstick (all from smash tv Awsome customer service! thanks I have gutted a old radioshack mixer (and am replacing top and back with new aluminumn) Using original commodore buttons (fabricated using some vcr buttons,And cut up commodore) I will start with all the pics when my orders show.(if ya can still post them,read they were down and hadn't tried yet) Please get involved (as I'll most likely need the help) Excited to do some hands on learning. :P Heres the case I built ANALOGBROTHA

Limited excess is because I can't afford to get high speed at the moment ??? But I keep downloading pages and find I'm Learning,as i tend to read to pages over and over.. That downloads a good idea esp for others in future. Plus to hardcopy such cool info! Ohhhh I'm Excited to build!

NEW HEY! :) Finally ordered kits !! 8) Hopeing to build a midbox sid with 2 x 20 lcd basic contols,Plus realtime cutoff and rez. Do I have all I need? DIN kit, AIN kit,CORE,kit SID,kit(sid chip),Box power supply,15v 300ma buttons,encoder,and 10k pots?? Thank you very much for taking the time,lending the help. Back to reading :P

Hey I 'm Gonna get in on this..I just ordered core sid din out and 2x20 lcd from smash is this all i need for a basic sid? I'm using a 6581 I have a 15v 70ma adaptor but after reading last post I'm gonna find a 300ma.Plan to build in custom box. So I'm gonna follow along here.. Wondering about realtime controls cut rez?? How long do the kits usally take to arrive??
