  1. yes, i'm planning to build a type c and i already have all the parts needed(only 1 sid at the moment) no problem if i have to buy some extra buttons, but for the din module, there's something that is not clear yet... shoul i buy an extra module or i can do everything with those 3 modules? it's about that "shifting 5 din pins" the din wiring on the pdf was not too clear for me, because from j15 of the core module and the display i have only 1 fat red line so...i'm just a beginner and from that schematic is a bit tough to understand how to "shift" plus: even my english is so so maybe if you can explain in another way i'll be able to do that modification sorry if i'm a bit retarded ::)but little by little i know that i can realize this project ;D thanx again for your help :)
  2. i waiting an lcd from voti, but i bought the 2x40 because was cheaper: i read somewhere that is too big for this project, so...should i buy a smaller one or i can use it with further modification to the project? thanx for the attention
  3. well, i'm arrived to that point... my first sid module is ready for the voltage test, but, exactly, wich points of the circuit should i test to understand if i've done it right? thanx
  4. i just started to mound my first sid module and on i have a doubt about the 10 k resistor R1 on the schematics found on the ucapps's site, says that is not required anymore, but i have this part in my kit and on the pcb are the last holes available so what should i do? and if is not required anymore, should i make a bridge? let me know..
  5. hi to all i have some questions about the type c(with complete surface controll): i wanna build a type C but now i have only one 6581 and the c64 original PSU, i will add the other 3 sids when i 'll find them... for now, i saw that at mike's shop( site below )is possible to order the "full kit" to realize the MIDIbox SID 6581 + CS for 64 euros that is not so bad...is that the cheaper one in europe? http://www.mikes-elektronikseite.de/shop_englisch/index.htm and then i need to buy also: 1 x lcd display 1 x rotary encoder leds (how many?) buttons (how many?) 1 x ribbon cable (10 or 16 pol?) female connector for the ribbon cable? at least 1 bankstick did i forgot something? i saw that are needed 14 knobs(or more?) but are they rotary encoders(all of them) or regular potentiometers? thanx
