A while ago i came across the website of circular logic. Their software let's you use drumtriggers attached to the drumset and let's the drummer control the BPM U can find their website here --> www.circular-logic.com/ And an in-action Video --> www.circular-logic.com/demoVideos/InTime_E-funk_HiQ.wmv (more videos on their website) grtz, Richard
  3. They work great! and look great too! But keep in mind that you need to order the Joystick Pot and the Jostick Cap (Soft Touch Knob) separatly. --> (http://www.conrad.nl/goto/?product=710047) Grtz, Richard
  4. NO, you are right. It also doesn't work in ableton 6. Ableton automaticly goes to the effects view. when you use your cursor keys to move between clips and tracks.. the clipview stays on the waveform view. but I don't think this helps you because you want to control it by using a controller key... but maybe there's some sort of workaround. any idea? grtz richard
  5. i will test it tonight in ableton 6 and let you know grtz, Richard
  6. Yes, this is possible. Just click on the midi map icon and select the box that contains the track name at the top. eg: [audio 1] [midi 2] [etc]. This way you can assign a button to select a track and if i'm right you can also use this to display the waveform. btw. i'm using live 6, i don't remember if it also works with 5. grtz, Richard
  7. thnx for your reply. Now I have another question: When I build the button matrix, does every button really needs it's own diode like shown in the connection diagram ( http://www.ucapps.de/mbhp/mbhp_scan_matrix1.pdf ) ? And if so, which diode should I use. I assume an 1N4001 (100V, 1A) should be enough?
  8. Currently I'm building a midibox64 and a 64e to create my own (xtra-large) ableton live controller. Now my problem (or dilemma) is that I need at least 160 buttons and almost every button needs it's own led to indicate if it's selected or not. I've already searched on the wiki and the forum for information about switch matrix's but it isn't clear to me how to combine the leds and buttons in a matrix with the result that each led light's up when a button is pressed and sends out a midi CC to ableton. Another possibility and better way is to receive the button information from ableton. But still I don't understand how to achieve this effect. It's probably just all in the code, but maybe you can help me to clear up some things. thanks in advance.
  9. Hi, I was trying to download the eagle board file for the mbhp_core, but it seems like there's something wrong with the link. The link says "mbhp_core_v3.brd" but when I click on it, it opens the V2 file. I already tried a refresh, but I think the file is just not there on the server. ??? Do I really need V3 or can i also use the old version (V2) for building a MidiBox64, since I want to be building it as soon as possible and I just can't wait any longer ;D Thnx in advance! Richard
