    I remember that I added STM32F1 support on a "good will basis" without continuous testing, therefore it's not officially available (means: you've to try it, and if it doesn't work anymore, roll back to a working version)

    Thorsten, thank you. Just one thing ... where could I get the previous versions?

  2. Edit: It seems It´s downard compatible. At least I found a STM32 Folder in the firmware download and was able to upload it to the core. I see this in MIOS

    Hey guys,

    longt time no see. I hope you´re all doing well!

    I still have 2 fully assembled Core STM32F1 here in my drawers and would like to build a successor to my still very well working Midibox64E.

    Midibox NG is not listed under the supported Apps for the STM32F1 but only for the LPC and F4 Cores. Nevertheless it was supported up to version 1.029 according to the NG Changelog on GitHub.

    MIDIbox NG V1.029
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
       o added USB MIDI workaround for Windows
       o if a EVENT_SENDER is part of a radio group, and got a new value, it will only
         send the MIDI event if the new value is matching with the specified range.
         Usage example: cfg/templates/pg300.ngc
       o if EVENT_RECEIVER forwarded to EVENT_AIN, EVENT_AINSER or EVENT_BUTTON,
         send also MIDI event.
         Usage example: cfg/templates/pg300.ngc
       o support for MBHP_CORE_STM32F4 module
    So dumb question:
    Can I run the actual version on a STM32F1? If not, how could I get hold of the 1.029 Version and is there any limitations which are a show stopper for a simple Encoder and Fader box type application? No fancy LEDs planned ...
    Thank you for the help.
  3. Guys,
    it hurts but i gotta sell the sids i bought some time ago to build a mb6582. Unfortunately there wont be a lot of spare time in the near future to finish and play with it.
    The Chips are tested and in a 100% working condition, no broken legs, no crappy filters. 6x 8580 and 2x 6582.
    I only sell them as a package. I prefer german buyers and I am asking 200€ for them. Postage via insured DHL for additional 5,90€. Dont haggle, take it or leave it :-)
    You wont find many of them these days. If you are interested please do not write me a PM but an Email.
    Alex
  4. Update (24.02):
    ---------------
    Albs sent the order confirmation and the invoice today. I´ll transfer the money to their account now and hopefully get the knobs as fast as possible.
    Afaik from talking with the order management black/trans is on stock while black/red and black/white have to be backordered.
    So everything´s runnin... ;)
  5. Sorry about that but you know ...you snooze, you loose... ;)
    I will run another bulk though in a while when more people need them again.
    @Wilba: dunno, I think its a combination of very trustworthy midiboxers on the one hand and a crystal clear statement that I wont waste my and other peoples time
    with unreliable people. No second pms, no second emails...who really wants the stuff takes care...anyway the nr of people involved differs slightly :P
  6. Hängt schon ein Verbraucher dran? Der LM317 braucht - genauso wie die 78xx und 79xx Reihe einen Load current, damit er so funktioniert wie er soll.
    Häng mal einen oder mehrere parallele 1k Widerstände dran, so dass du einen verbraucher hast...
  7. Du hast glaube ich nicht so richtig verstanden wie ein LM317 funktioniert, bzw. ein Netzteil mit diesem Baustein. Ein Blick ins Datenblatt hilft.
    Die Ausgangsspannung, die du misst ist genau richtig für ein P1 (normalerweise R2) von 1K.
    Die Formel lautet: Vout = 1,25V (1+R2/R1)
    Btw: deine Frage wird sogar in dem von Dir verlinkten Bild beantwortet. Da stehen die Werte drin.
  8. You´re faders and knobs all send the same midi notes. That´s the reason why you face this problem.
    You can either edit them - like findbuddha said - manually with the edit events section or upload a config file you´ll find in the
    applications folder and compile with a perl script.
    like so often RTFM ;-)
  9. I decided to keep the standard resistors to keep the LEDs less bright, hence why i mentioned it, is this practice alright?
    No, that doesn´t make sense. A standard LED resistor has a value between 220 and 500 Ohm assuming a standard LED and a 5V voltage.
    That limits the current to about 20mA, a standard value.
    To dim a blue LED or a ultrabright blue LED you need a much higher resistor value than a standard value because you have to limit the current to about something around 1mA. So start
    with 20k like nILS suggested.
    How much further would the resistors you suggested dim the LEDs?
    Depends on a lot of things. You cant tell without trying.
    I don't have to use the blue ones, just thought I would as I had some to hand, howcome they are so bad?
    because of the spectrum of the light they emit. There are no blue leds that arent bright or ultrabright. Honestly they suck in applications like this...
  10. Hey guys,
    i finally got mail from Albs. There is good news and there is bad news.
    Good news is they finally sorted out their workload problems and can deliver the knobs 2 weeks after the order.
    Bad news is that they raised the price of the knobs due to a new factory line and the fact that they told me the price for an order of
    10.000 knobs on the phone. Therefore the knobs will be 1,13€ instead of 1,05€. I am very sorry for that, but that is exactly the reason why I waited so long for the written
    confirmation from ALBS. Imagine I would have sent you the invoices before....that would have been lots of trouble i guess.
    It is still cheaper than in the previous bulks, I can understand though if you dont like that and want to cancel your order or change the amount.
    I will close this bulk by now and start sending you the PMS with the details.
    If you got any questions, message me please.
    Thank you,
    Alex
