  1. Just reversed the LEDs and now MIDI flows out thru and the power led is working. I am not getting any MIDI in yet though :-( Whomper
  2. Copy: When using copy with pattern that has more than 16 steps, there is no way to set the right boundary as the rightmost rotary is #16. Paste: I have copied an 8 step sequence from a track that is 16 steps long, extended the length to 32 and hit paste, the track length reverts to 16 steps although I have copied only part of it. There should be a difference between copying a part of a pattern, by which only the relevant steps with their associated info like volume should be copied to the scenario where I had requested to copy an entire track. Whomper
  3. Another issue that is worth testing is as follows: Pat A1; track 1 is 32 steps. Song 1 has Pat A1 looping x 16. If I start Logic at measure 2, Pat A1 starts playing from Step 1 instead of step 17. Whomper
  4. As the ratio of patterns vs. songs is in favor of patterns (i.e. you get tons of patterns, but only 16 songs, or 32 in a future revision with 512 backstick) It would be great if there will be an option to assign other banksticks in the format section to Song as well. That way, the user will have the choice for more songs in favor of patterns. Whomper
  5. Now that the slave mode synchronizers correctly, there is one issue I had noticed; when switching patterns, the first step or two does not play right after the switch, rather only after a full pattern cycle is finished, then all plays correctly. Whomper
  6. Can I use IIC as MIDI out only and use Core's midi in to overcome the EUSART bug? Whomper
  7. I have. The issue is, I do not see the power LED lit (I think it is the green or the red). Does someone know an electronic test procedure for the board? Which pins should produce power etc? Perhaps I have nuked the PIC by mistake... :-( Whomper
  8. Thanks! From preliminary testing, it works like a charm! Whomper
  9. Yeah, it displays that there is an IIC1 and Seq3 also finds it, but the LEDs are not working and I would like to get some info on how to troubleshoot it via multimeter. Whomper
  10. Thanks for the quick patch! I have tested it, and the seq still always starts at step 5 of the pattern. Is there a setting I might need to tweak? Thanks for the x16! Whomper
  11. How do I test whether the IIC is built correctly, or whether the PIC is not burned? The lights are not working, although the core finds IIC1 and no MIDI is sent or received. Whomper
  12. After some more testing, the issue is even trickier; although the song plays in good sync, the fact that the LCD shows a permanent offset also influences when patterns play. Imaging an offset of 5 steps, which is a constant one BTW and there is no catchup. As the LEDs play in sync with Logic, the LCD shows a positive delta of 5 steps and thus plays the last 5 steps of the patterns which should switch to before they actually start (5 steps before to be exact). A1 - 1..15, A2 - 10-15, A2 1-15. From usability standpoint, it would be great to scrub Logic's arrange and see how it translates to SEQ3 song structures. Erez
  13. In Seq2 there was a repeat action of 16 times, but in Seq3 I see only 15 times repeat. Any reason for that? Whomper
  14. Well, after some more checking it seems like a display only problem, where the right LCD is "not in sync" while presenting song pos with the sound or the LED sequence. Whomper
  15. When Logic and Seq3 are playing together, say Seq3 is in slave mode, if Logic is played not from the song beginning, a 5 steps delay happens between the two. Example: Logic is at location 10, then Seq is at location 5/15 and step A1.5 and not A1.1. Only if a start from the actual beginning, both of them are in exact sync. If I place Logic at any given location and hit play, Seq3 starts immediately, but starting from location **.5 Strangely enough, the 16 LED sequence are in sync with Logic, but the Song is not, meaning Seq3 is not in sync between the 16 LEDs and the Song position when Seq3 is in slave mode. Any ideas? Whomper
  16. Thanks TK for the rapid response. its good to learn backwards compatibility is maintained. Up until now I have built a SID and a SEQ with great results! The design is simple yet expandable! Keep up the great work! Whomper
  17. I see. Can I install v3 instead of my v2 and use the same hardware control surface which is based on the recommended layout and functions? Will my data in banksticks will be readable by v3? That way, I will work the same way but utilize a more recent codebase. Whomper
  18. There is a strange problem that I could not put hands on; basically, when I have a song that changes a bunch of patterns set, on the change event, not all patterns are triggered at the same time. Example: A1 - Patterns B1 & B5 A2 - Patterns B2 & B6 When the sequencer is set to switch from part A1 to B1, pattern B1 changes to B2 on time but pattern B5 does not change to B6 on time, rather in a slight delay, which is problematic. Is it a known issue? Have I configured something in error? Whomper
  19. I am having some timing issues with connecting the SEQ with Logic 7. if the seq is the master and the tempo is for example 120BPM, I am getting an ever changing tempo of 119-119.90 constantly changing, which renders synchronized effects problematic as I am getting flanging effects. What should I do to create a stable clock? Erez
  20. Since I have v.2, can it be 300 bytes for an entire dump? If I completly reset it and upload, will I get all my info back of patterns and songs? Whomper
  21. I was wondering as to the proper size dump of the seq sysex one as my dump is only 8 bytes, which clearly indicates something is wrong. Are there different ways to activate the sysex dump? Whomper
  22. So I guess I will need to rely on sounds which have no release information if I care to have them punchy :( Whomper
  23. I am getting a noticable latency from my MIDIBox SID project, roughly 20ms or so. Has others gotten similar latency numbers? What could be the source of it? Doing some percussive parts are tough with that latency as I need to move the tracks back in time in the sequencer to compensate. Whomper
  24. I have a core with SID that works great. After connecting an LTC module without the MAX as I am using the core midi in, the MIDI in light of the LTC stays lit no matter what I do. If I connect a LED directly to PINs MO and MI of J11, the core will not boot and will send tons of midi our messages. does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? is using the LTC the best way to get proper MIDI in led activity or is there a quicker way? Thanks, Whomper
