  1. i would not be interested in plastics or powder coated. plastic scratches too easily. i made the tabletop for my turntables table out of plexiglass, it is all scratched up not not quiet 2 years later.(wish i would have used plate stainless steel like i used for the legs.) powder coating has a couple of problems also it just seems to look dirty to me most of the time, and it "wears" weird. i know that anodized is not the perfect solution. however anodized has a few micron layer that is much harder than the non-anodized aluminum below it. I would gladly pay extra for filled engraving. not sure what everyone else wants.

  2. wilba as always am excited about this project and am looking forward to the build. 100 per set of panels is not bad at all, 130 for the one off is a good price too. i am in for 2 however the thing goes down. I know that a good silkscreen will last years as i have had it on dj mixers that have taken a beating and still look good. i could not imagine that you would rub on this thing with your fingers(or whatever else you rub on it with) more that you rub a  dj mixer. silkscreen can wear off but it is not easy. i would not mind engraved and filled for some more money either. but at the end of the day i will roll with whatever. thanks for all the work. i am lazy.please also solder mine and case it up before you send it since you are  probably not too busy. thanks a ton for the project!

  3. thanks a lot. i am just getting into this all. have wanted to get something that would play my cs 10 for me for awhile. thanks for the answers. sounds like it would be better to build a midibox seq then a midi to cv box next have a 2 part solution instead of an all in one. thanks for the the replies.

  4. Hope that this has not been asked before.i have a Yamaha cs-10 that(as the other CS's from Yamaha and old Korg's) uses Hz/Volt triggering. could i build a midibox seq that did hz volt on one output and "regular" cv on another output on a couple of other outputs and midi also?

did a search did not find out

    thanks

  5. this is speculation on my part; I think that smash tv is not a business that has several employees. It is some guys site that some guy runs in his spare time. I imagine that he would apreciate it if you posted questions about what you need on the forum and got a parts list together and then filled out an order on his site. none of the people that are into this whole open source diy thing are really making money and are using up a signifigant amount of their free time. I hope that i am not too far off base with this. or even out of line. start a thread with your specific questions and some people will help you out. i am planning my my first mios project and it is the most daunting electronics project i have ever thought about undertaking. not even sure where to start. but what i am trying to say is the forum will usually get your questions answered the fastest.

hope that this is a little help

  6. david, i hate to hear that. i have l6. i have one gig of ram in my lappy and have never had that kind of issue with 6. i have read about other people having that problem and i think that it is a bad audio driver.(not 100% sure tho) can you borrow another card and test it to find out. i used the kore controller for my last live show for 1.5 hours with no hangs at all. i think that the quatro is a quarki y card.

what vsts are you running and could the "leak" be coming from something else?

good luck i know how much of a pain these things can be, makes me want to switch back to vinyl sometimes
