  1. I can't believe how excited people get from saving a few Euro and depriving SmashTV of a few bucks for his efforts of finding the best parts that fit the PCB... and how much you people bitch about high postage costs. Get over it, already. This is a hobby (or should be), and a pretty cheap one compared to others, and you'd rather waste your time sourcing parts locally instead of just get the good stuff from SmashTV.

I think I should recommend SmashTV double his Core32 PCB price and offer free parts kits as an optional extra.

Hi All, just seeing that post and Wilba note!

I am fully agree with him! What we get with that forum via Thorsten, SmashTV and other is exceptional and a big invest of time.

And musn't be forgotten. They could have done theirs own business with that and you should have pay such a sequencer V4 3000€... Keep this in minds!

    Regards,

  2. Hi,

I am in Munich and I sell an Alesis X2 console.

    It is a 24 inputs, 8 busses. 24/8/2

It is a lovely console, excellent sounding EQs and to boost the signal can really sound

    unique with that console.

have a look of the last 3 pictures of this page.

I just sell it because I have no more room to it.

I have a 24 input/4 busses Neve console right now, an API custom 11 input and a Mackie for the transportation aspects.

    That's already more than enough.

Just make an offer if you feel interested.

    Best regards,

    PK

  3. I have a nice collection of all seppoman's PCBs that I never seem to find time to build and use.

I even feel a bit guilty that he also helped me out with a lot of the trimpots, styro caps and miniature relays for the SSM2044 board as well.

Soon I'm going to ruthlessly sell off stuff I'm not likely to use... so someone please remind me if it gets to 2012 and I haven't done a big virtual garage sale of electronic bits

    Hi,

    I am interested...

  4. Hello,

I am more into guitar at the moment so I give up with that project.

If someone is interested to do the installation of a midibox sequencer into tht case,

it could be an excellent solution for live.

Here is a video showing to what it looks like.

It is a very strong case like the one of the Jupiter 8, but smaller.

If you are interested, don't hesitate to contact me!

  5. Ask Polykobol for this! :-)

He has a lot of Expirience with damgaging PIC´s. LOL

Sorry Francois, but this must be it.

    :-)

    True!

Well,I connect a lot of instrument...And, if there is a bad midi galvanic isolation, you burn them.

I distroyed 3 PICs using my midibox CV connected to my RSF kobol Modular.

  6. I'm running Wilba's "Bleeding edge prototypers bulk order #2". If Wilba has confirmed your order you should have received an email from me on Dec. 22 explaining what you need to do. If you have a confirmed order from Wilba but have *not* received an email from me, please send me a message via the forum so I can ensure I get your order details. If I don't hear from you by Sunday, Jan. 10, I will assume you are no longer interested and will allocate your board to another buyer.

BTW I believe all PCBs have been allocated to buyers at this time. If any spares become available, I'll post here and see if anyone is interested. :-)

    Thanks,

    C

    Hello,

First I wish you an happy new year Chris.

I answered to your mail you sent me already.

And, just seeing the forum, I repply just to inform you that I wait to all the info for the 3 PCBs I ordered.

    Best regards,

    Francois

  7. Due to incessant nagging, I will run another very, very small bulk order for PCBs. Maximum of 10 places.

I will be nice and pack some Re'an knobs too, but everything else is easily purchasable from Digikey, Mouser or ALBS.de so someone else can manage that. I would REALLY love to just send a batch of 10 PCBs to someone else and let them split it out... but I doubt anyone is willing to volunteer.

I guess the PCBs might cost 35 AUD each, but I don't really know until I get a quote.

If you are interested, post here and/or email me at Jason.S.Williams@gmail.com

    Hello,

Ok, I agree to managed the second launch.

I write again to you about the topic.

    Thanks Jason,

    Francois

  8. Bonjour Thorsten,

Good question... Well, until now, the Midibox FM has got random patches.

I would use the Midibox FM more in this direction.

And at the moment the TX 816 has got symphonic, strings and pads sounds...

And you know, the TX 816 is really good for that.

At the moment I can't really compare them. They are there for the right use.

Thanks for the message and nice work!

    C.U.

    Francois

  9. Ok.. I will take the IBM one.. ;D

But, I wanted to list the connectors I have to order to repair another Polykobol.

I want to repair 2 polykobols this week and after this, if I have to wait to some components

to do the mod you proposed.

Also, I would like to do a DOUT module to midify a Polykobol.

Or, is there already an aplication doing a coding which could be adapted to the keyboard plug connector?

    Thanks,

    Francois

  10. Bonjour,

You didn't see the second one as well the third one.  ;)

I got the one which is midified in 88 for 80 euro. It is my first analogic synth. After this, I found one in Paris in 1998 or 1999 which I trade against a Korg Monopoly around 400 Euro at this time. Again, a friend of mine proposed his for around 800 Euro, the one which has some wood scratched. But, it is not a big problem. I wanted to obtain a Korg PS3300 sound.

With 3 Korg PS3100 I even get better.  :D But It takes more place. All of the 3 work perfectly and I don't have to canabilise one to repair the other.

I know fine that synthesizer. And it is a really strong one.

Yesterday evening, I did connect the output of the midified one to the audio input of a kobol..

And I modulated it via a midibox CV. Was really cool too!  8)

I really don't care about a full midification on it.. I waited around 20 years to get it midi..  ;)

I also tried to patch the few jacks inputs via the midibox Cv but without any success.. The input signals should be beetween -5volts and + 5 volts..

But, I am thinking to connect all the 3 Korg PS3100 together thru the same relay set, using SCSI 1 flat cables.. The cheapest solution to get a PS3300 sound in live.

I will order that to Reichelt and will let you know the result!

  11. Bonjour,  ;)

    Thanks for the compliments!

Well, I first thought to use the keyboard of a sun station to fix the front panel on it.

Due to that fact, the sequencer is not rackable.. But I don't care as the goal is to get akind of  desktop sequencer. It is bigger and in fact, I got a little more place for the electronic.

After I noticed that the Sun keyboard is to fin for the electronic, I collected aluminium panels from my company..  :P And did a design for the case which I gave to a friend to machine it.

It is true there are many connectors.. At the moment I have 3 midi sockets and 1 power supply.

I have to drill other holes and I will use mini din, the same one you can find on video cams.

For other additional midi outs and ins as well as for the roland synchro 24.

I will add soon machined thick foots with a V shape, just to bring the sequencer a little bit higher with a small angle.. approximately the same you can find on the TR 808 or on the Roland MC4B sequencers.

    I try to get a 60's 70's spirit design..  8)

I like this design now.. Funny as during the 80's I hated it..

I wanted to get a very square design, with everything flat, with buttons at the same level than the front panel but with only the rotary knobs doing the contrast.

I found the knobs in a electronic used surplus parts and components shop . exactly 17 like that..  :D

I have been quite lucky. :D

But to find again the same.. It will be impossible  :-\

I also wanted to avoid any screw on the front panel.

If you want to find similar knobs, I noticed that some guitars Fender or Gibson use the same.. But, it is not cheap.. Around 5 euro or even more for the guitar one comparing to the 1 euro per knobs I paid.. There is also a chinese amplifier company using this kind of buble or valve knobs...

I wanted to install the CV/gate option, but I will do an additional module for it. If not the case would have been thicker and it would have been sade.

But, all these words turn around cosmetical aspects.. I like to do that.. But the main purpose is the electronic and the software..Thorsten.. thank you!! ;D
