  1. Stryd, can you give me some instructions, like what I need, what to do, so I can make this? Thanks.
  2. Midibox64 without encoders :( Midibox64E without pots :( Traktorizer trough MIDI :) Theres some solution for a midi controller with pots AND encoders? Midibox LC? Can I use normal pots instead of MF? Can be connected more than 8? Thanks.
  3. Hello, I was making a midibox64 for me, but, now I have every PCI mounted, then thought "midibox64 supports encoders?" I think no, but, please answer me. Then, I saw Traktorizer project, that uses same PCIs from midibox, and fits encoders and analogic inputs... the question is... can I change midibox64 apllication to Traktorizer uploading the Traktorizer .hex file trough MIDI, or I need to reburn the PIC? Thanks.
  4. Hey Stryd! I tried to change the defective PIC, but the seller said it could not change, so I had to buy another one. It worked! Was the PIC. Now, I was wondering, the defective PIC has just one bad pin, is possible / how hard could be to use another pin for the DIN? Thanks for all help!
  5. Hi again Stryd... I burned and burned again the pic and nothing, I will be trying to change it soon as possible, I think it need to be the PIC!
  6. My board is same as in picture of core module page. Yes, midi-ox... I tried mios studio but I noticed it dont sends modwheel=2 I didnt understood the meter method you said, but I got a beeper, and tested the pin21 with all neighbors pins and tracks, there arent so much, so was easy, no short circuit found I will try reburn the pic, is the only thing I not did yet... already re-uped mios and midibox64 but didnt solve. Try another PIC is what I want very much, but isnt possible, I cant find in my city, I bought this one from another state over internet, I will try to change it if dont works after reburning, but will take some weeks. Thanks for all help, if you think some more things to help me please post. PS: Sorry for my english, I'm not very good with it yet.
  7. Yes... is that what I made... removed everything, just core, supply and midi, and tested directly to PIC pin 21, not even the socket... probe directly on its pin, and other on ground... then cycled the modulation 0,1,2,3: RD0, pin19, SO = Changes 0v-5v RD3, pin22, SC = Changes 0v-5V RD2, pin21, RC = always 0v And pin21 track is very free track, it just goes from pin 21 to J8/J9, like 1 centimeter of track (on core board) What do you think? Thanks again.
  8. hey Stryd_one... I think I found something... I installed SRIO and sent modulation from 0 to 3, SC and SO changes its states, but RC is always 0v... I give a look for short circuit in RC, but none, also, RC is a very free track, hard to make a short in there... please help me
  9. Cap dont solves... also CI in protoboard dont works anymore, can my PIC be bad? How to install SRIO and ain64_din128... ? Thanks PS: When I touch the latch and clock lines with my finger it send some commands, a bit crazy, but sends... some idea?
  10. I cant find any short, and looks to be exact to schematics... I forgot the bottom jumper, then soldered it, worked for some time then stoped to work again... also made a new board and problem persists, I dont know what more to do, I'm near to give up :( PS: DINX4 without the bottom capacitor can make this problem?
  11. no no... port I mean ONE button input... same as 1 input pin of the shift register... when I put a button in the first button input of the first shiftregister it takes as ALL buttons were pressed... and all other buttons dont work
  12. Hello, I'm building a midibox64... I'm having some trouble it DINx4 module, looks like it is receiving all buttons in the first port (I think it is snapshot), so when I close this port it makes many things in the interface like opening menus, left, right... I already verified all the board, removed and changed all CI's, removed all and leaved just the first one... nothing solves... also mounted just one CI in a breadboard, made the connections and it works normal... I think is something about the clock, but cant find any problem in the board... please someone help me. Thanks.
  13. OH MY... I Cant understand... the way I put it its right to what I think, and to datasheet... but still inverted in the schematic for me!
  14. Hi again Tilted... It is very very strange... I verified eveything, the circuit, pcb, the my pcb, looked in bc337 datasheet, and looks ok!!! But, I rotated the BC337 and now its working... for me looks inverted in every where it appears (Colector in emiter and emiter in colector)!!!! STRANGE STRANGE STRANGE... I always worked with BC337 and used this: The chamfer facing top, pins facing me... then pins are CBE... Well... it is now working... Thanks!
  15. I made the board with the layout from here, opened in Eagle, printed and made using the toner transfer method... I verified many times already, all connections looks ok, also tested with multimeter, changed the bc337 for another one... it gives less than 1volt from max to min adjustment. I will try to get photographs, but dont think it will help much
  16. Oh sorry, I really forgot! Its core V3 LCD HD44780 Thanks and sorry :-[
  17. Hello, I'm trying to adjust the luminance on the core module, but turning the trimpot all left or all right makes litle diference, I already changed the BC337, verified the circuit and tested the trimpot... what can be? its normal? Thanks!
  18. What happens if I upload more than one time the mios update or the midibox application via midi?
  19. Thanks nILS! About the burning, you think it gone ok? How can I test if its ok?
  20. Hi again... I've mounted JDM programmer, and tried to burn the PIC with winpic800... just selected JDM on COM1, it detected the PIC18F4620, so I loaded the HEX file, and clicked program all... it taken less than 5 seconds, said it is ok... so I clicked verify... took very longer, said ok too (made this many times)... this means it is burn properly? I became a bit confused with a page config... with many strange configurations, for me looks like Microcontroller configuration... I need to change something? I leave untouched... How do I program the rest which is by midi... with mios studio? If I want to do this in a protoboard, what is needed? Thanks!
  21. oh well, this means it is right, I will try... Thanks ;)
  22. its this??? 1st. mios_update_v1_9f.zip ==> file: mios_update_v1_9f\pic18f4620\burner\bootloader_v1_2b_pic18f4620.hex 2nd. mios_update_v1_9f.zip ==> file: mios_update_v1_9f\pic18f4620\mios_v1_9f_pic18f4620.hex 3rd. midibox64_v2_4b.zip ==> midibox64_v2_4b\setup_midibox64.hex (Via midi) its right?
  23. Hello there, I want to build a midibox64, I'm a bit lost, what should I program first in the PIC18F4620? Where to get? Please, step by step if you can. Thanks.
  24. Hi Stryd, thanks for your answer. You mean midi-to-com is SAME normal midi but with a baud rate compatible to PC serial port? About merging, will take some time so I can understand merger code, and I dont want to copy it, I want to code myself, can you try to explain for me an analogy of the process? Thanks again
