Hi all I am having a very hard time making any progress with a problem with my left LeMec board. When I first assembled the JA and LeMec boards and tested them, everything was working on JA board and the two LeMec boards except: - encoder 3 on left Lemec board was not registering depress events - encoder 8 on left LeMec board was generating garbage counter values when rotating. Since then I have gone backwards and been stuck for over several weeks with no progress. I first tried to solve the issues above with reflowing the ICs on left LeMec board but that didn't help. I then reflowed the ICs on the core, and after that, I am in this worse state with left LeMec board - encoder 8 does not register turns - none of the encoders are registering push events - 4 leftmost buttons on are not registering push events - 12 of the 16 LEDs light up immediately upon powering up as seen in attached pic I haven't bothered testing the Matias switch events as this is enough wrong already I have reflowed the ICs, diodes and transistors on that board multiple times, and on the core board too, and nothing is changing. The only advice I get from Midiphy is to reflow/check for dry joints/shorts which I have done over and over. It would help to have proper circuit diagrams to try to chase down likely culprits instead of messing with everything all the time. If I just connect the JA board to core and run the seq_l test, that is still testing fine for everything. The right LeMec board is out of the picture for now; I think it was all working well at least. Any help will be most welcome as I am close to assuming I just have to abandon this and write it off as a very expensive exercise in frustration and futility. Thanks Graham

I am new here in the forum and new to the SEQ V4+ world. It's a really cool and unique concept and I have the greatest respect for the work that has been done here in this community. To be honest, I only found it out by reading an article last year on amazona.de. I have a question to which I have not found an answer despite searching in this forum. If the question is wrong here in this section of the forum, I have no problem moving it to a more appropriate location, as it is actually not a "Construction" question. What I understood so far is, that a track consists on a number of layers. The number of layers depends on how you "format" the track at the beginning of working with the track. So the question I have is, if it would be possible that the layers could have a different length than the track itself. For example, you have Layer A which contains notes. Length of the layer is 16 steps and is repeating after 16 steps Layer B controls note velocity is repeating after 5 steps Layer C controls gate length is repeating after 7 steps and so on. Maybe there is also an other way to achieve the same result. For example I haven't fully understood the nth1/nth2 function yet... Don't kill me if it's a stupid question or if the question shows that I haven't understood the architecture of the SEQ Thanks for your support! Stefan

Hello dear midiboxers, I just wanted to share the new EP that I just released, called "La couleur préférée du carrossier": https://kevingotkovsky.bandcamp.com Four library-digital-bossanova-world tracks entirely sequenced with the one and only SEQ V4+ ;) If you like 70's and 80's type sounds, you might enjoy this! Cheers, please don't hesitate to give me any feedback, KG

I'm interested in the a Seq v4+ but i'm not exactly sure how both it's basic functions and advanced functions. When i'm looking to buy a sequencer I tend to watch a lot of videos and tutorials to work out easy and intuitive it is to use and how easily it would fit into my workflow and work for live performance I was looking on Youtube for a basic or in depth guide showing a talking guided step-by-step walkthrough of how it works and how it's various functions are implemented. Would it be possible for anyone here to make a detailed walk through explaining and showing step-by-step all or most of the units functions? I've seen them for most sequencers by Sequentix, Polyend, Mode Machines, Five12, Novation, Arturia, Nerdseq, Akai etc but there seems to be nothing much on the midibox seq v4+ which is a shame as it seems like it might be awesome. I've looked at the manual but the V4+ has an entirely new interface which makes it even more of a challenge to work out how you do various things and what certain buttons are used for. Thanks, Pete

THIS BULK IS CLOSED Hello, I contacted Signature Plastic to know if produce a custom keycap for the SeqV4+ might be interesting, if it's not too much expensive. It seems we can get some for a correct price, but I need 10 people interested to reach an order of 320 keys(10 Sets). This is what I asked for: DSA with ALPS mount (of course) PBT material, ABS because the lens is made with the double shot method which is only ABS. White WFK. Large rounded rectangle LED window. and 10 people is a minimum. Price will be something like 35-40$ for a set of 32 keys. Price will be 40$ for a set of 35 keycap. Some of you already noticed me that small round window is too much small for their taste and use(in smokey and flashing light club context ;) ) So I asked SP if it's possible to make that instead, and if it changes the price. I keep you in touch. Their answer: No additional cost for this shape! Tell me if you're interested, it will be better than trying to paint the transparent keys ;) People who joined the bulk: @secrethero303 @niles @Dimduj x2 @slo @jojjelito @otropom @u-link @thresholdpeople @Antichambre Best regards Bruno

From the album: Antichambre "stuff and work"
I took this picture under the sunlight as you can compare their brightness with the others elements(screen, led matrix etc...) -
