NON-comercial sites and projects are whats keeping people like us on top,

without having to spend all of our hardearned money.

The MIDIbox forum gave me a chance to do alot for very little amount money.

And people like SmashTV and Wilba for kepping prices down, just to mention a few.

So if ya'll know about more goodies on the webb,

why don't you drop a link in here.

Now im gonna go work on the case for my very affordable Mb64.

Thanx Ucapps!!! ;D

Just because it's non-commercial doesn't mean it's cheap...!  I've been able to buy a lot of stuff on ebay that costs less than I could ever make it for...

Now, if you're into DIY regardless of cost, check out http://www.prodigy-pro.com/forum/ for some very interesting projects.

Are you signed up for the SDIY email list?  Do you read http://www.electro-music.com/forum/ ?

EDIT: oh yeah, how about http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/ ?

P.S. Are you interested in modular analog stuff?  There are a bunch of board/kit makers out there...  Check out Elby, Ken Stone and Ray Wilson for some fun things, and if you're at all interested in building your own modular from inexpensive kits, definitely check out Blacet Research!  You can find links to all of them at my web page...

OH YES!!!!  ;D

The first Synthesizer i built myself is the SoundLab.

I even put up a post here on the forum, when annoucing myself :)

The SoundLab from Ray wilson was the reason i even got as far as ucapps in the beginning.

Have a look at my SoundLab Dubwision if you want.

I think you'll like it. :)

Very cool!  Some day if I have time, I will build one of those...

When I got back into music a couple years ago after a long break, the first thing I built was a Blacet Miniwave.  Then I immediately started building MOTM modules.  (Jumped right to the hard stuff...)  ;D  I had heard of MIDIbox, but didn't really dive in until I got an MB-808 kit...

Oh yeah, if you're interested in that kind of thing, check out the x0xb0x and the Introspectiv 9090...

heheh

I put myself up on the x0xb0x kit list about 1 month ago.

Im shure i'll have to wait like 6 months atleast before i get the kit.

I was planning on sourcing all the components myself,

but after reading into it...well....i can wait 6 months.

Getting ahold of special and rare parts when living in Sweden is almost impossible.

And the Mb-808? Have i missed information somewhere.

Cuz if it exist then i MUST have it!

Other than a SID, 303 and a 808, i woul love to build a MOOG synth.

The Blacet Miniwave, is it a MOOG emulator?

foona, i've been on the xoxbox mailing list since december... i still haven't been notified but i'm sort of over the whole xox thing sooo... if you want i can give you my notification info if you want my spot when it comes along...  it's a thought.  i don't want to waist my spot in line, but i don't really want a 303 any more.  i don't really have a use for it.  i may just build it and then trade/sell it or something.  i am definitely into a Moog style synth though!!

Thanx Buhler!

Since i used a 303 for the first time, iv'e always wanted to have one.

Same with the 808 and MOOG. So i will gladely accept your offer!  :)

The web page for the MB-808 itself is http://www.eight-oh-eight.org and you can see some of my own notes about it at http://www.analognotes.com/mb808

There aren't any kits available right now, but we will probably make another run of boards later this year.  In the mean time, I am finishing the panels and cases, and hope to finish the design of the MB-9090 and MBmatrixSEQ soon.

I have been missing info....

I can't see how, when my eyes has been plastered to the Ucapps

You ain't the only one, and If I missed it, I think you can be excused ;)

yeah, the Mb808 slipped well below my radar as well.  i would really like to do something along the lines of an E-mu SP1200 (low bit sampler, sequencer, etc.)...  but, i think i'll just stick with the MbSEQv3.  i'll let you know about the x0xb0x foona.
