selfservice
Hi, i'm working for a USB design using the pic18f2450. The errara data sheed doesn't talk about any bug in the eusart async mode, so I think it would be ok for the usb to midi application instead of the original part in the TK design...Have you ever heard about the eusart bug in this part?See you soon,Stefano
TK.
The microchip errata docs are partly incomplete. The bug is fixed on PIC18F2450 B5 and laterBest Regards, Thorsten.
Soclt
Be sure to show us your project finished, because core module with USB instead of MIDI would be MUCH MUCH better. Especially for laptops. Also You can make audio output using PCM2906 from USB, one USB for complete mixer.
TK.
The upcoming STM32 based core module will provide an USB interface for MIDI and/or COM (-> e.g. for OSC) by default. In addition, you will get 2 MIDI IOs, CAN, IIC and several ports & drivers to external devices like SD Card, I2S (-> Audio Output), Ethernet, etc... and to all existing MBHP modules of course ;)Best Regards, Thorsten. Soclt
Actually, I am working with AT91 ARM systems, was thinking about making core module on ARM, but all sources for PIC is in ASM which I don't understand. I need the code written in C to port to avr or arm :)
TK.
MIOS32 is already ported to C for STM32F10x derivatives, which contain an ARM Cortex-M3 CPU :)http://svnmios.midibox.org/listing.php?repname=svn.mios32&path=%2F&sc=0Best Regards, Thorsten. Soclt
Interesting, I will check it out :) Maybe I could port it to AT91 system with embedded linux inside :)
