ThomasT Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Since the 1N5818 on the motorfaderboard are not avaiable in SMD package I want to replace them. What properties must the diodes have? And what must not? Can I take any shottky diode with a 1A current? Or is 1A too much? Quote

You can't go lower than the specified rating of Thorsten's circuit, which probably rules out SMD, I don't know of equivalent to 1N5818 Quote
ThomasT Posted June 26, 2003 Author Report Posted June 26, 2003 That implies Thorsten's design is on the lower limit... Quote
TK. Posted June 29, 2003 Report Posted June 29, 2003 I just took the cheapest shottky diodes which are available at Reichelt. ;-)I guess that shottkys with I_tot=0.25A should also workBest Regards, Thorsten. Quote
Steven_C Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Ok, so it is well above the minimum current handling! Quote
