mmmm pumpkin flashiness. And I still think you shoulda driven the LEDs from a DOUT - synchronized to some cool music :-) Kinda like this:

Knowing you and your cooking finesse, I'm surprised that you could resist turning it into a soup!

555 and 4026 no tasty in soup, the 9 volts battery also gets kinda crunchy

Well, it's a bit late now, though you may be interested in this Halloween PIC toy. It has moving 'eyes' and makes noises, and pauses when it has a light shone upon it. The Embed Inc. PIC development environment has a lot going for it too, if you are interested. Not really applicable to MIDIBox, though still interesting and useful.

i am proud to announce that we are the winner of the annual jack o lantern contest, with our chinese blue,white and red leds and our proxxon carving skills we ve left the others leagues away..

.. now it s time to eat lollipops and cleaning up the lab from pumpkin residue which has made my keyboard nearly useless..

yay ! i rule
