using the analog inputs to control knob 1-5

Hi, I'm building my first sid-synth and i am a complete noob to electronics :).

I'm building the minimum control setup for a stereo-sid, but I do want to use the analog inputs to control the assignable knobs. Is this possible and if so how to assign the 5 analog inputs to the 5 assignable knobs?  And last but not least wich pot-meters should I use?

I've read the manual but couldn't find a satisfying aswer.
