Hey there,

every now and then someone came up with questions about building somthing like the D-Beam controller of the MC505.

I don't exactly know how the D-Beam thingy works, but wouldn't it be possible to just replace a pot on a AIN module with a LDR to have something similar? am i thinking too simple on this?

Maybe this is the crowbar -Method, but after all a LDR is a variable resistor and therefore should work theoretically...? ???

Maybe some additional stuff would be required to get the right range but would't that be the easiest way of doing it?

Thanks for any replies,

yes a LDR is a variable resistor, but to have a "potentiometer schematic" (I don't know how to say this in english) you have in fact 2 resistors. So a LDR with an other resistor and you'll have a light control pot! ;)

Thats a cool site! Thnx!

Anyway: Do you have any idea, how high the latency of this circuits is? And do you know, if you can program those Atmel ICs with the JDM?
