LCD Compatibility issue

Today I came across a Hitachi LM258 XNB 240*64 GLCD. The chips that were installed was LC7940 from Sanyo.

My querry is if this display is KS0108 compatible?

Any ideas where can I buy a 240*64 GLCD with KS0108?

The LC7940 is only a dot driver, but no LCD controller. This means that it isn't usable for MIOS (unless somebody would implement an interface based on a second uC which makes the LCD compatible to KS0108 )
