Is it possible to control the MB-6582 without control surface?

Hi there,

I've been quite silent on this forum, just leeching information ;) However, I have been building a MB-6582. It's almost finished now (at least, the inner parts). I've been able to program the CORE PIC's myself, and upload MIOS using MIOS Studio. Now, since my control surface isn't finished yet (I still need to get a display), I'd like to use it. The Base PCB should do the trick already. My question is: is it possible to control the base PCB (through MIDI) without connecting the control surface?
