der.warst Posted August 18, 2003 Report Posted August 18, 2003 Hey,i found a broken ISDN-phone on my sidewalk the other day and thougt about using it as a housing for a MB16. ;DI mainly need some device to trigger samples and this phone has nice big Buttons which would be perfect, but: is it possible to have more buttons than only 8? I've seen on the site that there's a MB64 firmware which could be used with a MB16. Would this be my choice? Thanks for any help,Simolch der WarstP.S. I will finish my MB64seq in the next weeks and it's gonna be, well , a little different... i'll send some Photos as soon as possible
TK. Posted August 20, 2003 Report Posted August 20, 2003 Hi,neither the original MB16 nor the MB1664 supports more than 8 buttons. In theory it's possible to change the MB16 firmware in order to drive a larger button matrix, but the SysEx dump structure hasn't been prepared for such a modification. The simplest solution would be to assign the additional buttons to static Note events - I've no time for such enhancements, but as you know: the source codes are available on request... ;-)Best Regards, Thorsten.
