Jablanko
Hi everyone, this is my first post here at your forum. i've looked around a bit and you all seem to be doing a wonderful job, very professional and good-looking, too... My question is rather simple, and at the same time, probably rather stupid :) i've bought a SID chip, because i love game-like music. i've never soldered anything but a line-out for some synths and couldn't tell a difference between a capacitor and a resistor (ok, i'm a bit exaggerating :) now, in your opinion, what's the simplest thing i could do with this chip to get ANY kind of sound out of it with as little components as possible? thanks in advance, i know the question is silly, but please reply cheers J. stuartm
Welcome to the forums! As you already own a SID chip, the answers is fairly simple: You can haz sammich! -> http://www.midibox.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=sammichSID
Jablanko
Thanks for the quick reply! would that require buying the kit?
ilmenator
would that require buying the kit? Yes, that is the fastest, most straight forward and convenient way to get sound!
Jablanko
i guess i'll start saving then, and explore and practice soldering in the meantime :)
