Guest Da5id
I was setting up some order sheets for Mouser.com (real nice feature, with free registration, you can create "Projects" and associate parts lists with them) and ran across a little problem: If I put "24LC256" in as a part number, it gives me a number of matches, only one of which is a Microchip DIN-package, so it seems right, BUT it says it's got 256k of memory, whereas the Bankstick page says these are only 32k.So, what's the deal? And can MIOS handle the 256k chips? Specifically for a SID with the basic control surface. Thanks!!
MrMusicman
Hey Da5idMouser.com gives the size as Kbit, MIOS as Kbyte.256Kbit=32Kbyte ( 258 / 8 ) so no problem. ;)Kent
Guest Da5id
Wow, yup, I feel pretty cool right now ;)Actually, it appears that the bankstick page only says 32k, and not 32kb or 32KB. Is this maybe something that's lost in translation? It amazes me how many times this has bitten me in the ass. Thanks!
