muetze
Hello, i am thinking about rebuilding my SEQ v2 with the new core etc. to a V4! I am very happy with my case and pannel... so is it a good idea to "upgrade" my box? OR is it better to start from scratch? I am also interrested in the new OSC(Ethernet)features to use it with my Kyma setup... did somebody already tried the MIDI events embedded into OSC feature with the Paca(rana)? Any tip, advise, rebuild experience which could help me in my decision is welcome. Kind regards, muetze
stuartm
You can do that, there's is a dedicated page on ucapps for this: http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq_manual_up.html You'll be able to keep your original panel, just means you don't have the new dedicated buttons that were introduced with V4. The case will need some more cut-outs for the Core32 interfaces and the Ethernet module, if you're interested in OSC. I upgraded from V3 to V4 like that (no Ethernet though), it's working well. But I'll redo panel and case anyway (kept the wooden breadboard thing, see my avatar), so I'll add some buttons and redo some wiring in the course of that.
