sammichSID without leds

Hello at all.

I just receive my sammichSID kit. I want specials leds on it, that i don't have now.

If i build the sammich without them, will it run??

and, how can i check the screen color before solder it??? thanks!!!!

Hi Florian,

yes, it will run without LEDs.

You can test the LCD backlight color by just applying voltage (e.g. with a lab psu) to the backlight power pins (read the datasheet to find out which ones they are, don´t connect anything else).

did you need 2 midi cables to upload the firmwire or only one is good?

if only one needed, i wiil start building it in the next minutes!!!

use two cables, so that you can query the core8 in mios studio before uploading (also, mios studio can get feedback should something go utterly wrong while uploading)
