Started up the mb 6582 build again, but LCD problem

Hello all! I recently started trying to finish assembling my mb 6582 again, I've hit a snag, I've got the LCD hooked up, but all I get is backlight, no boxes, no ready screen, no nothing. I've been looking around here for about 3 hours now, I've reflowed all the solder connections at my lcd, and I've also reflowed the connections for the pins at the mainboard, I've also tried hooking up the LCD to other cores, when I do that I get absolutely nothing, I've adjusted the contrast and the brightness pots, but same problems. I also made sure that mios is installed as well as the midibox sid application. I'm really stumped on this one, hoping that someone else has run into something like this.

Might the LCD be faulty?

Do you have a known good one you can try in its place, just to see if you get anything displayed?

Is the system booting? The control surface lights up?

Don't have another LCD to test with at the moment. I know the system is booting up because I can play notes over midi and upload hex files. I don't have a control surface yet either.
