sammichSID: using 8580 & 6582 in the same unit

Has anyone tried? I assume it's ok since these both use the same capacitors/jumper settings. I was wondering if the sound is altered (i.e. positively, negatively, different?) when combining the chips. monads

Thanks for the reply!  I thought there were some minor variations in chip design effecting sound, but guess not!  I just finished the build so looking forward to learning my way around the synth.
