Dumb question: what if MIOS upload fails?

Hello,

 

I am soldering a PIC-based core module and a SID module. The PIC has the MIOS bootstrap.

Then I will upload the OS.

 

I have a question: what happens if the upload fails? Can I upload the OS again without problem?

 

I would be sure not to brick my first MIDIbox project, so I need to be sure everything will be OK :smile:

Yes, you can: power-off the core, press the START button in MIOS Studio, power-on the core -> the core will send an upload request and the application will be uploaded with the 1st level bootloader (which can't be overwritten)

OK, that's perfect ! It's as robust as my Arduino platform :smile:

 

MBHP_CORE is soldered. Tomorrow, I solder the pins and power cable, and will test it ;)
