I tried a bit with embedding.This code is working:

You have todo More Reply Options, then use the second button on the left (Special BB Code) and choose media. Then you end up with:

Using the share option on Soundcloud i'm getting different code...

Adding it as BB Code with media generates a working preview inside the reply box:

 

 

 

But when I hit save it disappears from the post.

 

 

It would be nice to just copy and paste, without having to replace the urls and names in the code you provided.

I found the code googling a bit. Take me a bit of effort to get it working. I think there is a plugin for IPB so that it is possible todo it the easy way.

This one worked for me.
I had to go back and look at the text editor (top left button in the reply box) of one of my previous Soundcloud embeds to jog my memory  :wink:  

There is a Special BBCode for media about halfway down the "Please Select" list
