flyweight303 Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Hi Guys, I am a Midibox seq newbe, i just ordered the parts to build one but no frontpanel pcb (+aout_ng) . At the moment i am just orientating on the design. Directly stolen from the MC-303, the world first groove box ;) My aim after building the Midibox SEQ 4 (+) is to intergrate a sampler of some kind. For example an old smartphone, maybe the Rasperry PI (performance is not so good) or maybe another ARm based board could be used to run linux and linuxsampler https://www.linuxsampler.org. Linuxsampler is a real fully featured sampler that supports the SFZ format. In my interface I looking to play notes some how, so it can be used standalone. I am currios what you guys think of the idea. BTW is it already possible to play notes using the current step sequencer? Best regards, Tim B Quote
TK. Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Hi Tim, the firmware doesn't allow to enter notes exactly the way you want. You could play the notes in the Live page with the 16 GP buttons (they can be optionally forced to the selected scale) - but I know that this is no perfect replacement for your request - but it's currently the only possibility. Best Regards, Thorsten. Quote
