Marxon Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) Hi Midiboxers, I want to show you a very useful tool. A wire cutter with built-in wire stripper. It works really good. I don't know how I could have lived without it before :smile:Here is a small video: Best regards Marxon Edited March 14, 2015 by Marxon Quote

FelixSchoenstein Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 So Marxon: Where can we buy such a marvelous thing? Quote
kpete Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 It's a Hobbico Wire Cutter. You can get it a Amazon for about $14 USD. Ebay also has them along with some Hobby stores. They are great for stranded wire larger that 26 AWG gauge wire but will nick the wires if solid copper. I have had some problems with wires breaking over time at the strip point when used on small gauge telephone wires. This was on an Organ with over 3000 soldered wires. Quote
Marxon Posted March 20, 2015 Author Report Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) I bought it from eBay. Just search "2 in 1 wire cutter". I can confirm what kpete said, small wires with solid copper sometimes break off. If this happens, unhook one of the two "return springs" and try if it works better.
