sylwester
Hi there, What's the best procedure for porting MIOS32 from the STM32F4 to the STM32F3? CMSIS is available for the F3 and I think the initialization code could be adapter easily. Please point me in the right direction  Thanks Syl Edited April 29, 2015 by sylwester
sylwester
My Progress so far (and I'm stuck): declare -x MIOS32_BOARD="STM32F3DISCOVERY" declare -x MIOS32_FAMILY="STM32F30x" declare -x MIOS32_GCC_PREFIX="arm-none-eabi" declare -x MIOS32_LCD="universal" declare -x MIOS32_PATH="/home/wrk/src/mios32/trunk" declare -x MIOS32_PROCESSOR="STM32F303" and my patches: https://git.no-route.org/syso/mios32/tree/master @Tk: Maybe you could take a quick look? Initialization code, peripheral drivers etc. are included. Cheers Edited April 29, 2015 by sylwester
TK.
I won't have enough time to look into this and give you instructions how to proceed. What I'm normally doing: reading the datasheet first to understand the differences (!!!) Setting the environment variables, try compile, solve compile errors until an image can be built by taking an existing derivative as an example (the Posix "find" and "grep" commands are your friends ;-) Then start to upload & debug the image - this can take some time, especially if you never did this before. Even I would need several days to do the adaptions & troubleshooting - hope that you understand that therefore a "quick look" won't help. Just continue and come up with more specific questions once you encountered general issues for which you don't find a solution after 2..3 hours Best Regards, Thorsten.
