I'm building a SEQ v4 with aout powered by +/-15v and 5v power one linear supplies and I'm wondering if it's possible to use the usb on the STM32F4 to send midi while it's connected to the external psu. Rowan Posted August 8, 2015 Report Share Posted August 8, 2015 Yes it is possible. Just make sure that there IS NOT a jumper fitted at J17 on the Core PCB. This jumper connects USB bus power to the 5V power input on the core. If you have the jumper fitted , connected a 5V external supply and USB you will end up with two power supplies and may case damage to sometgong.
