Cannot format damaged SeqV4 SD-Card

I am trying to format the built-in SD-Card from my SeqV4 via MIOS Terminal (sdcard_format), but as soon
as I type it in incl. the "Password", the Sequencer seems to crash (it doesn't react to keypresses anymore etc.)

As you wrote, if the card itself is damaged (maybe too old, or too many write operations), the sequencer will have a hard time accessing or formatting it, which might lead to the crash. Can't you open up the SEQ, pull the card and see what a computer can do? There is a "SDFormatter" tool available for free for windows, which I use quite often to do a sector-by-sector format, it might help to recover your SD card.
