monokinetic
Hi all,So I got my 1st PCBS from mike, currently Im buying the remaining parts to populate them and have run into a few questions:Listed in the core module parts list is a "A bridge rectifier for 40V/800mA". However both of my local parts shops only sell what seem to be quite large rectifiers. The smallest spec I can find is listed with the spec "Bridge rectifier 1.0A / 100VAC DIP4 -+WW". Does that mean anything to anyone? If this isnt suitable the core module page mentions using 4 1n4001 diodes to achieve the same thing, can anyone on which is better?Secondly I am hunting after LCD screens (like everyone else I guess!). I have found a company called eio in america, they seem to have been around for a long time, has anyone here used them or got any feedback on them, they really have very cheap screens and the postage to Europe isnt so bad....As ever thanks to you all for the help, I should be tweakin some knobs before the summer at this rate :)RegardsDave mK
pay_c
For that bridge recitifer:That "little" one you mentioned is to big, yes (100WAC!!). I would stick to those 1n4001 diodes. Much less money and absolutely enough.
