Sorry, but i don't really understand what is stated in the LTC module section.

Just wanna clarify some questions i have.

1. is the LTC kinda of serial adapter for the midibox? (cause i don't have a midi connection, am wondering is it worth the while building one or am better off getting a midi interface for my com)

2. If i do use the LTC and connect it the core module, can i use it to program the PIC via serial?

3. Are there anything i should be aware of if i use the LTC instead of the Midi or any other changes to the core module besides unstuffing the optocoupler?

Thanks for the help :)

1. ltc can be used for a com port or a midi thru port.

2. pic must have bootstrap loader burnt in from a jdm or similar after this is done you can load programs via midi or thu com if you have a ltc.

3. not to my knowlege ( i used one for a while)

P.S. go for midi it is easier. I started off with a ltc using the com port i had problems then i moved to midi and it was easier.

i had problems getting the apps/mios on the pic after the bootstrap was loaded. basicly ithink using the ltc you have the same probs as jdm on the com port.

i tried 5 computers then i reassembled an old p2 400 then i got it to work.
