d2k
Hey...I whiped up this midi and audio i/o interface for the db50xg (old but good synth daughterboard). it's a balanced line out and has a core and part of an ltc module all on brd - the sound quality is great :) I used a A500 psu for power...Now on to a custom MIOS application that makes use of the features this card has - but where to start???PeeshD
bosone
Hi!i know a similar project, the only "problem" is that i cannot find a cheap db50xg... not less than 50 euro on geman ebay (which for me, in italy, means 70 euro including shipping)but i am continuing my search.....there exist a shareware editor for the dg50xg that permits a deep editing of the parameters. d2k
Hey....I think I payed £20 for mine of ebay ;)Control surface/MIOS wise all I wanted to be able to do was just make use of the QS300 mode and lef out the XG malarky (for now anyways)...I've found that QS patches using 1 and 1+2 elements are 392 bytes and patches using 1+2+3+4 elements (split accross 2 parts/voices) are 527 bytes (2 x 232 byte dumps and 7 x 9 byte msgs). Now it seems u cant edit any QS params in realtime - it has to redump the whole patch after a param has been changed instead :/. So, this is where I thought MIOS could work it's magic perhaps - mebbe if it can hold the current QS patch in memmory and forward the param under physical control to the appropriate byte in the patch instead of resending it all everytime. I'm just shooting in the dark here...CheersDan
