How to modify pcb in eagle?

Hello there.

I want to change the size/shape/drill of the pads/vias in the board layouts (download) section of ucapps.de (*.brd for eagle).

But it drives me cracy!

Is there a solution to alter these pads without changing them in the library?

I like eagle very much, because this is IMO the best pcb-layouter found for linux.

Thanks.

Hey Crom,

seems to be no problem to change only the hole and via´s.

The button for changing parts is right under the- add parts button. A scroll down menu appears and than you choose package from it. With the next click on layout symbol you can change to whatever you want.

excuse me bad english...

Thanks for the reply.

But not exactly the thing i'm searching for.

example:

already placed and routed a DIL40 (IC) with the long-octagone-drills.

Now: I want to change just a few of these shapes to smaller ones, to reroute a signal very close to them....

How can this be done? I got no idea.

Thanks again

i would change the library. its fast and save.

if you change a package which is already used and you add the changed package to the board, eagle recognice that you have a new package and is updating the board, very handy.

If you just need the package once i would definetly build a new package with copy and paste.

My experiences
