Would it be okay to use ceramic caps for filter caps on SID, just for testing purposes.  I have ceramics, but will have to order poly.  And I want to get the SID running this weekend.

Hi,

I guess it's ok. (I'll send you a "new" SID if it dies) Different caps have different characteristics, so just blame the caps, if filter sound wierd.. (or doesn't sound at all).. give me a report.

of course, you can. my sid didn´t work with the ordered caps and i cuted them from the c64-board. -> it works ;)

hmmm, maybe there are 470pf caps on the c64 board, oh yeah there they are!!!!  Any objections to using these?????
