macsurfer Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Hello Midibox-Forum, a long time ago in a galaxy not so far away I built a unit of the Midibox SEQ based on my own design for the user interface. It was the year 2005. A few years later the microchip was upgraded and replaced by the LPC17-based core module, thats why the backside of the housing was adapted but unfortunately I never finished the housing. The bottom side just has a plexiglass cover, so you can actually have a look inside the DIY electronics and all the boards and solderings :-) Now, as I own a "new" Midibox SEQ from Midiphy, it is time to give away the "old" Midibox SEQ to someone who wants to play around with it. The price is simply depending on your bid. It is currently fully working, just the behaviour of the encoders is not perfect, sometimes a encoder skipps a few steps and also some of the buttons need to be pressed with a bit more force. As already mentioned the case was never finished, so if you wand you can rework the case. The design was originally done by a company called Schaeffer, the company still exists today and so the housing "system" can be ordered if you like, here´s the link: https://www.schaeffer-ag.de/frontplatten-designer# You can find the Midibox on the Kleinanzeigen website - the text is in German but I will also ship the box in Europe if necessary. https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/midibox-seq-v4-midi-step-sequencer-diy-fuer-einsteiger/3158249168-74-6800 If you have any questions just send me a message on Kleinanzeigen, as I will check this regularly.
