bosone Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 i have two cores+2 sid modules (+control surface, step B) working and tested both standalone, i'm working on set up them as master+slave.i think i did all the relevant steps, but i cannot get any signal from the slaveso the situation is this1) the two core+sid are working good when they are standalone, so all is good from this side. i burned sid 1.6 (mios 1.7) on both, with sid 8580 and control surface2) i took one PIC and changed the ID from 0 to 1 with midiOX with the string F0 00 00 7E 46 00 0D 03 00 01 F7. now if i PING with F0 00 00 7E 46 01 0F F7 i receive the same sysex string back, so i assume that the slave is setted up properly3) i removed the optocoupler from the slave4) connected the master with the slave: master VS pin of J11 goes to the same VS J11 pin of the slave.master M0 pin of J11 goes to M1 J11 pin of the slave.i checked with the tester the connection of the pin TX of the master and the RX pin of the slave and they are connected (directly on the PIC IC)5) both sids receives on the same midi channelthe result: i get only NOISE from the slave SID, while the master SID is correcly working......any ideas?!?!i'm at a little step to the conclusion!!!!!!!!
