???Which kind of potentiometers do you suggest for a MIDIBox(64/128 ) ???

I'm starting learning electronic and i don't have clear ideas; in which way i can "calculate" the necessary resistance of my pots into the circuit? There are formulas that i can understand which explain how to define potentiometers needed for the AIN module?

This comes cause i'm going to buy pots but i don't know which resistence they must have to "best fit" on AIN Module.

I try a search for this question on the forum but seems all here are geniuos   ;D

Btw forum/site is very good!!! and full of info but i think they take for granted little stupid questions like mine...

Don't take offence, i need your help now and in the future. ;)

:) Thx Roger.

Why 10K??

And which kind of pots do you suggest?

What about 'quality'?

With coal film, Cermet, plastic??

This could be an interesting and helpfull discussion so come on ppl suggestions/experiences are welcome!! 8)

because this is the recommented impedance for the ADC suggested in the PIC18F datasheet. 1k..10k should be ok, linear curve is a strict requirement. If you buy pots which don't meet the spec, you could notice jittering MIDI values.
