Screaming_Rabbit
HeyDoes anybody know, why the MF supply voltage is regulated down to 8V. The ALPS specification is typical 10V. Wouldn't the motor react quicker with 10V... or is this exactly the problem? Would the fader react too quick and we would end up with jitter?Greets, Roger

sjakie
Don't know anything about the MF module. But it does read on the MF page that you can calibrate them between 8V & 10V Calibration: the speed of the faders is controlled by the motor driver routines, you only need to adjust the pot on the MF module to a value where all faders are moved without stuttering. With my ALPS faders this is the case when the voltage is in between 8V and 10V. Maybe it is just up to you to make them run at higher volt :)
Screaming_Rabbit
But it does read on the MF page that you can calibrate them between 8V & 10V :-X ::) :-X Oooops...I read through the whole thing many times a while ago to learn and understand the MidiBox Concept... and now I'm getting serious for ordering the parts (MF PSU) and only read on the shematic "should be adjusted ca. 8V".Thanks a lot for showing me where to lookGreets, Roger (ashamed)
TK.
8V works smoother and doesn't affect the speed :)Best Regards, Thorsten.
