basta73 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I found this website called tapeswitch.com, where they sell ribbon switches, and I was wondering if this was the the same as those ribbon controllers on kurzweil machines. They have a bunch of different kinds. $50 min., custom lengths @ ~$16 ea.If anyone's interested. Quote

basta73 Posted January 22, 2003 Author Report Posted January 22, 2003 Thanks a lot. That got me thinking that I could find a flat resistive material that would approach the 10kOhm resistance area (at the right length), and connect it directly to an AIN module off a midiboxNG. What do you think? It's an excuse to carry around a multimeter. ;) Quote
d2k Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 sounds good...;) let us know the right length etc...also, the the kinda of material u use too, mebbe even a lil walkthrough for all other MBHP peep out there...i was aiming to do the same type walkthrough with the encoder's that have a built in switch i made from a bunch of old mice (see pic)...but it only looks this nice so far, still yet to hook it up to a din and find out if it all works... :oAll the best...Dan Quote
