Steven_C Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Does anyone know of a source of a labelling system like the ones they use on (expensive) patchbays? I mean the ones where there is a strip of thin metal with a folded edge on top and bottom, and you slide in the pre-printed labels you have made? I would like to put labels like this on my MB64's, so that I can easily change the pot labelling for different applications.many thanks, from Steve.
Davo Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 Something like that sounds easy to make in a decently-equipped metal shop. A standard box-and-pan brake seems appropriate.
Steven_C Posted July 25, 2005 Author Report Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks for the suggestion, Davo! (Actually, I used to work in a metal shop!)
Ian_Hurlock Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 Hey there Steve. How you doing ? I am building another controller with my son for ableton. I am thinking about having some small white gloss squares either sticker or screen printed by the knobs etc so that a name can be added for a sample etc. Then it can be cleaned off later.I think some commercial mixers have this feature.Just a thought Ian
Steven_C Posted July 31, 2005 Author Report Posted July 31, 2005 Hey there, Ian, good to hear from you! That's a good idea! Actually my supervisor at work suggested something similar... I'm still thinking about it.So what features will your son's MB have? Using up those encoders you still have? ;)...Steve
